Considering they list the motor, battery size, and shooting mode as "NA," I think we can assume (or hope) that they just aren't sure about what kind of hop it will be and just put "none" instead of "N/A" and to err on the side of caution.

Im sure that it has hop up. Their other AK offerings have it.
My guess is that these are all typos on redwolfs part. I did check RS website and there is nothing about a hopup, but I would be surprised if they expect someone to shell out 300.00 + shipping for a gun without hopup. On a side note- we all know the RS SVD doesnt have a working bolt, but Redwolf lists it as having blowback. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Well, hard to fit in a hopup or gearbox when you have to chamber a 73.62mm round. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

The 73.62mm round is part of the PLA's new all-in-one system. One weapon for all roles, anti-infantry, anti-materiel, anti-tank and anti-aircraft.

I'm guessing they either used a proprietary gearbox similar to the MP40 or P90, *wouldn't be too hard to shove that in a AK, the receiver is huge*, or they used an ultra narrow motor.

Looks like a faithful replica of the Chinese assault rifle. Judging from RealSword's past offerings, this one is going to be excellent right out of the box.
One small flaw, though. If only the selector switch markings are in original Chinese instead of "D" or "L". -------------------- "Cowards die many times before their deaths. The valiant never taste of death but once." |
