i vote M14 for the next one
not much of an M249 man myself, but the M60 conversion coupled with A&K's upcoming M60 VN would be awesome. although if this is based on STAR it might be incompatible... in which case i might cry.

The A&K upcoming M60s are their own design, based around a CA249 gearbox. Most likely incompatible.

Well an A&K GB can be modded to fit the STAR 60', so It may be possible....

Look closer at the thread, he will have kits for most any model of M249 and M60. In Daytonagun's own words,

All brands kits like ASAHI, CA, A&K .......etc can be done.

External of course, can't imagine a support weapon fulfilling its role very well with the limitations of an internal tank.

For some reason I was hoping for a propane tank inside the mag pouch lol. Its kinda big enough to fit a custom one.

doesnt run off propane. external CO2 or HPA no cooldown
an external hose fed gun isnt bad, haven't you ever used a sling?
