I just found this on Ebaybanned's front page: a link to a chinese airsoft news site with lots of pictures from a recent airsoft/toys convention. Apparentely all mayor (or is it major?) chinese airsoft companies were present and many, such as Dboys/Kalash, had impresive stands.

Here's what I picked out for you:

ALL PICS ARE CLICKABLE!

Dboys: AIMS, AKMS (I came!), M16A4, HK416 (has the silly inscription in the frontal part of the magwell, but still to light greysh, IMO)

http://www.power-dy.com/show.aspx?id=2784&cid=5

A&K (just on posters): M60 and Mk43 (yes I know you already knew that). Now direct your attention onto the big M4 on the poster on the right: is that a PTW style cylinder or what?

http://www.power-dy.com/show.aspx?id=2779&cid=5

And finally, Dboys URX 7" and 10" handguards, M4 QD style silencer (no markings, meh) and M4 mags with rangerplates.

http://www.power-dy.com/show.aspx?id=2766&cid=5

P.S. King Arms Sig 556:

http://jpg.power-dy.com/UploadFile/2009-1/...19364518023.jpg

Big picture of Dboys' Hk416. NIce details such as the numbers on the rear sight are nice.

http://www.power-dy.com/show.aspx?id=2775&cid=5 (click on the pic)

Now that GBB rifles seem to have become reliable, whats the need for a PTW?

GBBs, like the WE M4 or the AKSU have:

- high FPS
- adjustable FPS by swapping gas valve assembly
- semi-realistic field stripping
- working charging handle
- working bolt release
- working "wont shoot: mag is empty"
- blowback and better sound

Which only begs the question: when the *fruitcage* are you *fruitcage*ers going to make a GBB MP7!? Look at how good the AEP version is selling. Imagine how many you'd sell if you made these really skirmishable.

Tasty '60, can't wait to gut it for gassing up.

GHK will keep shooting after "you're empty". That's the only reason I don't have one. But indeed, the progress GBBs are having in rifle sizes is great. GHKs ability to use AEG hop-ups and barrels is a great advantage. Also having a expansion chamber in magazine is something every gas-in-the-mag maker needs to learn from GHK.

GBB L1A1 with bolt lock anyone?

4th pic down is an AKSU, AK74M and AK105 for me :S
loaded the pic from chas' link though, looks promising.

classics always have been and gas in mag systems still arent. cooldown is still an issue, gas is one more thing to buy, FPS and performance is proportional to the weather/temperature.
personally i'd rather use an external rig, more reliable, uses AEG mags and kicks harder. i suppose if the gas in mag manufacturers would somehow pull off a HPA mag it'd solve pretty much every problem except efficiency (i'm not sure how many rounds you'd be able to get from a HPA tank that small.)

Last time I browsed the new GBB rifle topics and videos, I saw breaking hopup chambers, breaking bolt stops, horrible shot-to-shot fps consistency, sh*tty accuracy, feeding problems, expensive and leaky mags, molding problems, ROF variation by cooldown, and what else.... ?

I would still pick the PTW or a BV-classic over any of the new gas-in-the-mag GBB rifles.

Sorry there, Vanderer. I just link to that site, nothing to do with them.

Anyway, just to clarify, not all of those pics are yours. But yes, it seems like they took a few.
