Actually, the price is pretty good. I just wish the controls were ambidextrous.

That is pretty surprising they didn't go with the all ambidextrous controls like on their SR15/SR16 variants. I do LOVE mine.

to be fair, yet ANOTHER armalite variant is not really news, however in this case as it is VFC and well priced I guess it is. However I think there should be a specific thread for new armalites, with strict moderation so that anyone going in there to go armalites are a pile of *fruitcage* can be swiftly deleted and those taht couldn't care less if armalite went out of busienss don't have to sift through post after post of armalite releases. Just my two pence

And i agree with the flooded m16/m4 market idea. I think these companies could sell more if they just spent time on making the more unique guns.
America and some other countries use the m16/m4,, doesnt make it the best, most interesting gun ever. Damn good, but lets see some wider selection.

They keep making armalite variants because simply put - they sell. That paired with the fact a massive amount of the R&D is already done, from past models, they'll be a lot cheaper to make, so in the companies eyes - it is a win win situation.

I can't be the only one who likes simple M4s better than all these new models. The only modern M4 variant that looks decent is the Magpul version.

Yea but its good for a potentally awesome project gun. Just think, $300 and you already have a battery stock & metal body. I bet i could get an M4 inner/outer barrel and have this thing M4 status in no time
