3 New Ares Gas Guns

Just saw this, Ares is making gas blowback versions of an m4, barret, and WA2000. Also on an interesting side note the barret and WA2000 will also come in paintball and pellet versions, very interesting...

A GBB M82A1, finally.

Nothing wrong with a WA2000 or another M4, either... since it's not an AEG. laugh.gif

A Gas Barret? Awesome.

Now it only fails on one point. Such a big gun DESERVES a GBB 8mm version. But a mass produced WA2000 is pretty tasty.

If it is 8mm i'm going to buy one just so i can *suitcase* on it - before sending it back.

If there's a paintball version you could just use reusable paintball rounds. Probably get much better range out of them than 8mm BB's too.

Woot WA2000.

However, ARES/STAR = Fail with things as simple as AEGs, so I shudder to think how craptasticular their GBBs will be.

Not a big fan of the 8mm myself, kinda hard to find and are quite costly, but seriously 8mm would be kinda pwnage. Hope it doesn't cost so much.

I wonder if ARES managed to get hold of an old Ashai (sp?) WA2000 and redid it with the gas solenoid system...as far as I understand that was one of the big things about it because it meant near 0fps variance for a GBB...

aeris isn't that bad. they are better than Chinese clones.

also, theres already been an 8mm GBB Barret and it failed hard.

Why's everyone critizing ares so badly? I have own both AWM and DSR, both are great rifles, solid bodies, nice finish quality and shoot fine.

p.s. I've been thinking... can a bolt action rifle has blowback?

Every Ares/STAR I had/ have so far, was top notch quality.
It outraged stock CA's is the field and the gearbox runs smoothly.

And yes I actually had/have them, not based upon someone, who knows someone, who is friends with someone, who has one.

i agree star/ares make probly the best guns in airsoft next to PTW,s and yes ive owend guns from all makers

I have to be honest, it's cool theres a gas barrett. But it's being made by ares... and the dsr they made did not impress me at all. So... I'm not that hopeful =(
