We're actually a bit ahead of the game here. Although they are open for business, they're not actually pushing the fact 'til the end of the month. Apparently the website wasn't due to go live until today so we're ahead on that one too.

Facilities:

Well presented - as said, they've only just opened the paint is still fresh, and nicely laid out.

on site toilet, coffee machine going in and what looks like the foundation of a pretty good test range (work in progress)

They also have a fair chunk of land out the back that they are planning to have more opportunities for 'evaluating' your purchases.

Stock:

the plan is to specialise in Classic Army kit and they have a well put together wall display of some of the current range. They'll also be getting the CA36C Carbon towards the end of the month too, so an up to date range.

A pretty broad range of webtex kit is out on display, as well as a selection of safety glasses/goggles.

Handguns, lasers and scopes are in a glass display counter and well laid out.

They have abbey 134 and ultra gas, plus lubricants.

I didn't see much variety of ammunition, but they are piloting an offer (as a trial) where you have a olive green plactic water bottle full (approx 6200 0.2g BBs) for £12 with a half price refill. I've not tested the BBs yet but they look ok.

Staff:

The guy running the place, Elliot, was very helpful and friendly, as well as taking the time to talk to me about starting the shop and plans for the future. He's said they are planning on offering a very customer-focussed service for the local players/collectors which is why they aren't offering online shopping. He is a skirmisher himself and one of the 'display only' weapons is his own personal one - which is a nice touch. I don't think he was expecting anybody yet as the haven't begun advertising the shop yet (It was nice to get invoice number 3 btw)

Location:

Once you're there it's pretty good. The building looks small, but is adequate, with the range and shop/showroom at one end and office/toilet at the other. Space out the back for future development is a plus point.

It is a little out of the way, situated at the back of the RAF Quedgeley development. Good in that you won't have to worry about onlookers and kids (no offense to younger players, i'm talking about the rude-boy/'chav'/brat element).

Not so good in that it's not easy to find, you would never stumble across it. Signs are going up around the site to eliminate this problem, and there is a map on their website.

Overall:

I liked it. It's nice to have a shop like this so close, especially when they are saying about keeping their focus local for the time being. I'd say anyone in the Gloucestershire area should have a look at the very least.

If anybody wants me to do a proper review when they are up fully and running I don't mid doing that either.

Posted this here yesterday if it's any help?
