360fps out of the box for a CA sounds a bit high to me, i thought they were usual 320-330 new.

Unless they've improved on the G&G/DE design (and to be honest, I don't see how they could), this is pretty useless.

Indeed, a bit late to the game.
Any serious UMP fans (and lets face it, you have to like them quite a bit to cope with the huge mags) would have got the G&G, or STAR and those who like them but not a huge amount probably got the DE like i did. Geez, It's like CA is screaming out "Look we can clone AEG's too!!" I can't recall myself if they did anything else.
And look at that price tag! Really they are a company that is going into a deep ravine if they keep this up. Chinese manufacterers are more innovative than CA these days. Indeed, it is quite a asthetically challenged gun but the actual design is brilliant making it stupidly easy to strip down and remove the gearbox (About as easy as P90s) but the mags on UMPs and P90s are silly big (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
I never used to like it with being a bit of a die hard MP5 lover but it has won me over. I don't know what your guys' deal is, I think the UMP is sexy. I'm a fan of the straight mag, I think a curved 9mm mag would look out of place. One of the civilian style short straight mags would look good too though.
What I'd actually like to see is the stock found on the civi version of the UMP, the USC, as seen here: (IMG:http://www.guntechinc.com/HK_usc.jpg) So I'd like to see the stock from the gun in the pic, put on the UMP with the .45 mag. |
