Hi,
I'd like to introduce Airsoftmap, a french project (now extended to Europe) which aims to place on a map all good spots to practice airsoft in Europe. So we invite all players to add marks about retailers, teams or coming events in their country

At present there is 2 languages available on the site (english & french), but we can add many other, so we seek linguists who can help us to translate the site. Volunteers can contact us (contact at airsoftmap.fr).

Great idea. I do a little traveling & have always wondered if there were sites in the areas I visit.

Holy ever-loving fudge, batman! That's one heck of a lot of sites!

But, uh, you missed most of the UK ones

Might also be prudent to put a warning on the UK sites, as bringing airsoft temporarily into our LOVELY little island is incredibly hairy and often nigh-impossible, thanks to the VCRA. At the very least, you can't just wander into the country with airsoft stuff.

there is already a fairly comprehensive map site for the UK, perhaps speaking to them would be a great help. I'll update this if I can remember/find it...

Indeed, Airbana also covers Europe, www.Airbana.eu, the US www.Airbana.com and Asia: www.Airbana.asia as of Version 4.

It would have been appreciated if Airsoftmap.fr wasn't so similar to Airbana's design


but hey, competition is good and since Airbana only concentrates on Skirmish Sites and Retailers then a map for team locations as well could be just as useful.

I'd like to work with Nicolas so we can bring these maps / databases together for the benefit of the community as a whole instead of maintaining two seperate databases / user bases etc unfortunately it has been quite difficult to get in touch with him.

and considering Airbana has pretty much every site already, ill pass on the french one

There's already resources for mapping North America airsoft sites, stores, people, etc.
