aznconverter
I'm not an expert on 240's so i dont know what exact model it is... perhaps a bravo? but found this over at the Echo1 website.
chas
Holy ######! Well, if you guys are getting an M240, I want a PKM! No more excuses like too massive support guns dont sell. Seriously now: congrats to those who wanted one of these. Lets hope some chinese company is making it, not like the Echo1 Minigun, so its still affordable..

M0ldyM!LK
This one better not cost $1,500 like past examples... If its in the SAW price range, I will own it.
Unit 318
If its in the SAW price range, I will own it. As would I. An M240 would be very nice.
masakarijoe
thats a bravo. i would like a Golf. if they make it in the SAW-ish pricerange, i too will own one... eventually. -Joe
aznconverter
What's the difference between the two besides the heat shield?
Plymouth Roadrunner
First the A&K M60, now this, I tell you these support guns are gonna be the death of me. Ill have to pick one up if the price isn't ridiculous.
Jin15
And I just bought an A&K M60 last week! Oh my poor poor bank account Might have to pick one of these up if they're similar in price to the A&K M249s and M60. I wonder who the OEM will be? o O (Because I won't be paying the extra money for Echo1's rebranding if I get one, just buy OEM) O o

3vi1-D4n
Wow. Hope its Chinese made, and with at least a receiver with sufficient iron/steel content Just isn't right unless I am carrying something that weighs close to the real thing.
masakarijoe
i agree. it better weigh a good ton, but most importantly, it had better be able to support its own weight, and be structurally sound. to make a Golf, one would simply need to remove the heatshield and RAS. so yes, i could do that. i would just rather pay a bit less and not get them at all. the main reason would actually be to save weight, and aid in simplicity. -Joe
3vi1-D4n
The challenge is to get it shooting over 300ft My 249 has consistency issues at 200ft.
Jin15
300ft? Ridiculous! Even the best $1k upgraded sniper rifles very rarely achieve 300 ft shots. To think you could make an AEG reliably shoot 300ft is just utterly ridiculous. Sorry to burst your bubble on that one one 3vi1, but I just don't think that's gonna happen.
3vi1-D4n
I am being half serious. But wouldn't it be nice if it did? In saying that does it include arcing/raining rounds? Cos I am sure I have done arc'ed 3J rounds near 300ft just for a laugh.
Jin15
Oh yeah, with arced shots you could pull 300 feet without much of a worry at all. It's the flat trajectory accurate 300 ft shots that are rarely ever achieved. Mind you I do know of a few airsoft snipers running very heavy BBs with bolt action external CO2 rig powered rifles that can pull 300 ft shots, but those are rifles that had not only $1k or more put into them but also had countless hours of careful tuning. On the other hand, maybe I spoke too soon about AEGs not being capable of 300ft accurate shots. Now that I think about it there's some excellent AEG turners at a US airsoft shop called Nashville Airsoft. They do some absolutely insane things with AEG velocities and ROF, and if anyone could tune an AEG for accurate 300ft flat shots I'm pretty sure they could. So is it impossible to have an AEG that shoots flat and accurately for 300ft? Probably not. Would it take a master tuner to achieve such a feat? Most certainly.
camotyger
Glad to see more support weapons being made, anyone else looking forward to a .50 cal? *edit note, I am kidding, that would have no practical use other then looking cool*
masakarijoe
this is airsoft, and im sure that a .50 will be made soon. i for one find that pretty pointless, but hey... -Joe
Jin15
If people will buy bolt action .50 cal replicas for $1k+ than I'm sure they'd buy a fully automatic belt fed .50 cal replica But forget that, I want a Mk.19 AGL. Now that's a belt fed support weapon
masakarijoe
have fun carrying that. the real one is what, 119 pounds? yeah, good luck. -Joe

fenris357
Awesome!! its not my much loved L7A1 ive been after for like a million years but its close enough for me to at least get one in the hope they'll make the GPMG. wonder what the mag will be like?
masakarijoe
probably a box magazine. honestly, id rather internal feed, so i could just hang a small link of rounds for realism, and save on that weight and space. but im sure that they will use a box type magazine. as long as it can quickly be reloaded (fill with bbs) then i guess that will do. -Joe
