You would think that he had single-handedly ...cured AIDS/Cancer.
Wow! He's getting the prize for medicine too!?

Anyway, name someone else in the last year who has done more? All Gore did was make a PowerPoint. *suitcase*, I can do that!

I think that the world is pretty sure that Bush was the worst president in living memory and a embarrasment to the US. However, for me he was less of an embarassment than those American's who still spout the ###### he was feeding them. That's tragedy. To harrass Obama at every turn and almost with the same breath laud the lunatic policies of Bush is terrible.

The war in the middle east will solve nothing, has killed thousands and is aimed at people that had nothing to do with it. You can't "win" a war on terror since your primary weapon is the armed forces, who themselves are terrorising people. The only thing people in Afghanistan hate about the US is your foriegn policies.

If you want to find the start of so called "Islamic terrorism", look up the "old man in the mountain" he hassled the frickin Templars!

As for the governer, she is growing on me and certainly got some MILF going on.

I personally believe Sarah Palin should have received the peace prize for her neighborly attitude towards Russia...

Anyway, on topic--it does seem a bit silly, but I think he handled it perfectly and hit all the right notes with his speech this morning. :)

If you like them a little old and stupid. ;)

*Insert 'your momma joke' here*

Nah she's a dingbat, but she's a MILFy dingbat.

Again I'm of the belief that awards are given for actual achievements. But then again we live in a society that rewards losers by telling them they did a "good job" and that's "all that matters."

Oh well. Call me when he accomplishes something. I'm not pinning away for his failure.

Oh by the way, I found another good use for all these peace prizes...fixing wobbly tables! True use!

Three things:

- Afghanistan ain't in the Middle East.

- The ISAF is much more popular than the Taliban in Afghanistan.

- Who says armed forces are the primary weapon tackling the issues of Islamist terrorism?

Do you have a link to the speech elrey?

All this shows is that the rest of the world needs to take Obama's cock out of their mouth. The guy is a limp wristed beta male who has not accomplished anything except read off a teleprompter. I cannot wait for mid term elections next year.

amen brother

barrack hasn't done anything

he was going to close down guantanamo asap and it hasn't happened yet

America is still at war with Iraq and Afghanistan

i don't think that he has done anything to accomplish world peace nor will he ever achieve something important

So he wants to get rid of nukes, right?

Reduction in nuclear weapons isn't the same as getting rid of all weapons, you know. Aside from the testing that was banned completely in 1996, and the two bombs dropped in world war two, we don't use nukes. They're a bluff, not much more. Explain to me how having nukes makes you safer, because unless you live in the middle of nowhere, you probably live close enough to a nuclear target to get a pretty good suntan anyways when someone else drops one on you. Whether our country has one or not doesn't matter, you're still dead.

Also, Obama doesn't deserve the prize yet. Maybe he'll do something more deserving in the future, but not now.

I am looking forward to what Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh have to say about it, I could use a good laugh.

Someone mentioned the Iranian nuclear threat. Just a few days ago, the Pentagon confirmed that it's accelerating the development of the Massive Ordinance Penetrator, a 30,000 pound GPS guided bunker buster. I wonder what that could be for?

Geez, I missed this whale of a lie too. Yes his long term vision is a nuclear free world which is unlikely to happen in any of our lifetimes.

At the moment Obama doesn't want to disarm unilaterally. He wants to get into talks with Russia in order to mutually reduce the number of warheads they each have.

At a summit meeting in Reykjavik Ronald Reagan offered Gorbachev the opportunity to eliminate all American and Soviet nuclear weapons. Where's his prize?

1. Yes it is. It's on the border of east and west. It is perfectly fine to say it is a middle eastern country.

2. I didn't claim that it wasn't. I stand by what I actually said. The only thing the people of Afghanistan hate about the US is your foreign policies.

3. Well, that plus fear

It's in Central Asia if you can't be bothered with basic geography, well...

You'd have got a pass mark for Greater Middle East and South Asia but neither are a common description.

I'm not American, you can tell that by where I live and the little Union Flag. Apart from that where is your evidence? Which foreign policies are they particularly against? For example are they opposed to the US plans not to put a missile defense system in Eastern Europe. Your statement sounds trite and patronising to the people that live in Afghanistan and that leads me nicely on to.

3. Well, that plus fear

Statements like that just make you sound ignorant.

The Nobel Committee has been awarding "aspirational" peace prizes for years - http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2009...dangerous_prize
