Hi,
Just been browsing shocktroop.com, they seem to be selling off loads of webtex stuff real cheap. I wonder if this has anything to do with the VCR Bill - maybe it's just a summer sale, anyway, I just got a New York SWAT Vest for £30! - can't be bad eh?
It's tucked away at the bottom of the site, so you have to look hard!
Here's a link webtex kit
By the way, has anyone got the New York SWAT Vest?

I would say its got nothing to do with the VCR. Webtex main target consumers are cadets.
Perhaps its because of their bad rep, that theyre trying to make them appeal more by beeing cheaper?

I don't get the bad rep really, i've never had a problem with my stuff. It's not suitable for deployment because of its High IR signature, but running round the woods and moors in cadets I took comfort from the signature, if I got in the proverbial it would be alot easier for the SAR heli to find me, when your wearing camo finding you visually raises obvious problems.
In short Webtex is cheap, solid, and unless your planning a strole through downtown baghdad at night a good option
just my two pence
Cheers

"Well I've had a word with Joe, and he says instead of making a cable and sending a signal for my TAT B's, I can do a jump into a DZ from 600-metres with an Epson printer-scanner on my back, and then tab 10 miles over undulating terrain, at night, to unlock an officer's user account after he got the password wrong three times."
