How many Star products have you owned/handled?
Everyone is always very quick to slag Star off, but 90% of the people who do, have never own a Star product.
Ask yourself this: If Star made ###### stuff, would Guarder really want to put their name on some of Stars products?

As a little comparison: If you mount a RDS on the rail handle of the G36C it's about the same sight-line as a carry-handle mounted RDS on an AR15. A RDS monted on the scope handle is at least 3cm above the level of the standard rail-handle. That's a damn high sight-line

Well, Star is a Japanese company. The materials they are allowed to use for airsoft parts is limited by ASGK standards. I have had a few stripped threads on my TM, WA, and KSC stuff. The metal they use is just too soft and will strip if you apply too much torque. I have not handled any Star parts myself so I will not comment on the quallity of their parts.
We can only hope that when CA releases their G36K/E series, they will have decent quality optics.

Right, useful info, thanks.
I'll probably go with the G&P scope only then, but I don't suppose aiming will really be an issue with 3000 rnds in an electric feed C-mag on an MG 36. Spray and pray all the way!
