For those of you who aren't familiar with this pistol it was used by over 80% of American law enforcement agencies from it's introduction up until the 9mm semiautos hit the scene in the 1980s.

I wish they will produce the heavy barrel version as well, and without zeke metal body, tanaka revolver is still too light

Those grips look too skinny and ugly- any idea what frame type the M10 is?

I hear you. To Hawaii it looks to be about 165 shipped for a pistol thats less accurate than an HFC Glock 26, lol. However I may be wrong, I am wondering if Tanaka has any new technology within this piece that may address the accuracy issues of their older models. I'd replace those skinny grips with some nice oversize rosewood grips ASAP.

Accuracy may not be that bad as, presumably, this is based off the recent 19/66 model.
Pegasus II is an unofficial term used to describe gun with the new hop-up system and barrel/chamber engagement mechanism. Seems pretty accurate, at least on the long barreled 500.
Cheers.

From what I can tell just by looks (given the poor angle) they look like the same pistol.

But it could be one of the many variants of the S&W M&P10

Any idea of this M10 is a K-frame round butt or square butt? I just sold my old M500's K-frame round butt rosewood cherry grips that would have looked awesome on this M10....
I really don't like those skinny grips because my hands are much better with the "normal" finger groove grips, like on the M65 and M66.
Anyway, as Snowman said, "Pegasus II" describes the design in the newer Tanaka revolvers, which includes adjustable hopup and a cylinder that aligns much better with the barrel and valve for a more accurate shot.
Several reviews have stated already though, that even with this new system, the 4 inch M66 continues to suffer from mediocre FPS and poor accuracy.
I really HOPE this M10 just isn't a prettier Colt Police Positive....that would upset me greatly. The M10 supposedly has adjustable hopup though, leading me to believe it belongs to one of the newer "Pegasus II" designs.

Apparently the M10 is still in production. The new blackened steel with the Uncle Mikes rubber combat grip is suh-weet.....
If I were to get this gun, those skinny ugly uncomfortable grips would be the first to go. Skyler, you plan on picking up an M10 for review?
