If you have a problem with handing over money before services are rendered simply dont hand out your money until you are guaranteed a product.

Well UMP suppose to come out 31st July but G&G release a news saying they are upgrading some internal part so it will be delayed, the shop sales was telling we could be getting our around mid August, so i doubt that you guys will be getting this anysoon outside of taiwan.

They say they are putting some good stuff into the the gun to make it better. what ever it is, it so far working on my friend who had ordered his and he is also thinking the same way as you do, if G&G takes an extra two weeks to delivered a better gun then he wont mind waiting the extra two weeks.

So i guess G&G are really pushing the production to the limits just to fill local orders..there were still about 15 orders of various item (soc16 and UMP) still to be deliverred by the branch that i went to. There are about 5-6 branches around taiwan.
thats the news from taiwan today ...........

Its actullay slighty shorter than an SG1. the gun next to it its a HK33, which is shorter by about an inch or so compare to the SG1.
will take it to the field this sunday if weather permits, performance wise, i am thinking its the same as the normal M14, maybe not shooting as far or as good of a grouping due to the shorter inner batter, which is only about 4cm longer then a M4-A1 standard barrel. (36.5cm)
the red dot is nicely made, (well its included with the gun, so i am not complaining much) but mount forward of the ejector port, the red dot at that distance have become a huge dot, not very precise dot with much blurring on the side, this is what 30USD-100USD. have to start saving for a real steel EO-tech or Aimpoint to fix that problem.
Cost wise, G&G local price is around 600+USD pre order price is 30% off with all the accessories you see in the photo (pay for the item in 3 weeks before you get it). Plus pre-ordered wood stock are sold for under 100USD -what a steal, production price will of course be higher. (its coming end of AUG).
We also will try out the UMG this sunday hopefully, it was shooting fine in the shops, but dont know how far and what sort of grouping it will get in open/ distance area.
will post more on sunday.
will also take more photo of the gun with red dor mounted, later on the day.

shooting is also very stable. at 10m grouping is around 5cm by 5cm using 0.2bb on semi.
if i were to use 0.25 i am guessing grouping would be better. exellent long range weapon, no much reduction in range or accuracy from the standard M14. But i did not do a test comparision. should do that next time. CQB wise. was chasing two guys with the TROY's SOCMOD M14, with the retractable stock. they were definetenly more nimble and agile inside close area. so i guess m14 for long range , SOC16 for medium range, if you wnat to go short range/cqb best to get one of them SOCMOD M14..
The red dot that came with the SOCOM were great also, worked like a charm.

110 fps? That's horrible! Are you speaking in terms of fps or joules? 1.10 J is ok, but 110 fps is a joke.

I would hope he is saying 110 mps, as they DO use the metric system in Australia
Where did you get it from?
