I know its a little early to ask, but does anyone know the story with this?

I want a black SAA now and I would most likely get this one, just because its the newest one out there and Tanaka may have fixed some of the issues their previous versions had rolleyes.gif The new grips are cool too.

The "detachable cylinder" is what worries me though. Does that mean its on a swingarm or is there some fake release for it that isnt on the real thing? My guess is that they changed it to make it easier to load gas/bbs.

I believe it now has a more realistic way to remove the cylinder rather than taking down the whole gun. I believe such a feature was mentioned by a person in the SAA review in the articles section.

I can't wait till they come out with one in 5.5 inches.

That sounds good to me. Maybe I can be the first to get it and write up a mini-review of the new features. All I have to do now is score some cash

Doesn't do a great deal for me, either, to be honest.

But then, I love Mausers, too biggrin.gif

Cheers.

You too snowman? Why the Few Dollars More avatar lol?

The SAA is definitely a work of art in my book. It is just as balanced visually as it is physically. Well to me at least. I should be able to order this one soon. Now I get to play Russian roulette with Customs again and try to import another SAA without orange on the barrel.

If they've gone for a detachable cylinder, I'm going to be very upset. They bloody waited til I got an SAA to improve the design. Bastiges!

Another picture:

According to KIC it weighs 730g, which is 65g less than the HW version. This other Japanese site said that it is 720 though, so who knows.

Ohh and here is some photoshop fun for you snowman:
