QUOTE
Due to the recently discovered smaller 'bug' in the tappet plate of the UMG released last month August 2005, we have decided to help our customers further.
Not just by deliverering FREE 'upgraded' tappet plates to our distributors but also by including the new tappet plate together with the High cap magazines.

To a customer this means that when you buy a High Cap magazine you will also receive the NEW and upgraded tappet plate for FREE
The new tappet plate is blue so you will know it is the new one.
The old one is black.
We will do this with the first 1000 magazines

You can, of course, like always, contact one of our distributors and get a new tappet plate through them, without having to buy a High Cap magazine

If you are unable to change the tappet plate by yourself we advice you to go back where you bought the UMG and ask them to change it for you.

G&G
Service Department

and on thier new products page they have a list and pictures of some accessories and replacement parts including the silencer, hicap, steel bolt, steel sights, steel bolt catch. Check em out

Awesome news. I ordered mine through the shop a bit ago, but it's just going to come in next week or the week after...

Makes me happy. Ordered 2 magazines and the silencer with it.

How come G&G always discover problems with their guns AFTER people buy them, dont they do tests on like every 100 guns through the assembly line? Im sorry but this is why i havent bought a g&g gun yet. The UMG look uber cool though.

Well, it's the same reason I beleive everyone bitches about windows.

Sure, 2-3 guns might of been fine, or with in acceptable breakage points.

2000-3000 - might not.

Yeah, TM's version of fixing the complaints we've had with their guns have been to release a new gun. M4's for example. Common complaints are the barrel wobble, tabs breaking, and the hop-up being the most frustrating thing in the world. The M4 SIR has addressed these issues, but I'm not too keen on buying a whole new gun to fix the problems with the ones I have now. Other than that, I still like TM. I just wish they'd put in metal bushings so -maybe- the spur gear doesn't blow out so quickly.

Receiver tab is a weak point on a gun, not a big problem. AK screws are kinda like a small durability problem.

Otherwise, you can almost guarantee that TM's gun can shoot perfectly straight out of the box.

Awesome! I have my new tappet plate already, but since my gun is working fine I'm not too motivated to go in and change it out. I wanted to do a comparison of them myself, but now I don't have to! So smile.gif or mad.gif depending on how you look at it. tongue.gif

I havent done anything to my gun since I have gotten it... played a few games with it but thats about it...

I plan on ripping it apart when the new parts come in and putting in the tappet plate and the steel bushings I have... beyond that Im happy with the gun so I will keep the rest stock

Wow this another blow to tm. They will now be forced to give us costomer service if they want to compete. Yea! Now I am even more tempted to buy a umg. biggrin.gif

hahaha... well I have seen tm really step up thier guns... the m14 is absolutely beautiful... I think it is really a much nicer feeling and firing gun than the g&g version... that and they are re-releasing the m4 with fixes (hopefully one is the friggen barrel wobble). but in any event some of the older companies are trying to step up productions to get out a more solid and useable gun.

aint competition great smile.gif

AEX now has UMG mags in stock, hicap and lowcap. I picked up one of each today. I posted a bunch of pics in my UMG thread. Haven't tried the hicap yet.
