I guess it was only a matter of time, sorry if someone already pointed this out, but they're offering a railed and non-railed sig 226 frame for the Marui 226.

250 bucks, not bad, finish is probably very good and assembly is probably easier than the Prime kit. I may have to pick up one of these for my spare 226 laying around in pieces.

IF this is milled aluminum (not cast) I am going to cry. Why is this kit 250 when the Kimber TLE/RL II kit is 400!!

The Kimber is $400 because I want one. No other reason is probable.

Just an update you guys, it seems that the PGC non-railed slide/frame set is something unique. It's NOT a non-railed copy of the SEALS model, but is in fact a copy of the early mid-90's model 226. Meaning the slide is more rounded, specifically in the top and rear of the slide. It also means on the left side of the slide it only says SIG SAUER, and the P226 sits on the right of the frame.

I will confirm this friday/saturday when my kit shows up from WGC.

As an example: http://www.pgc.com.hk/P226%20AND%20P226R/P1000287.JPG

It's cool that PGC is doing something different rather than copying the SEALS model. WGC emailed me a few days ago to confirm with me that I wanted the kit even with the different trades. I'll confirm this again on saturday.

But just wanted to point that out. Here are a few examples of the look of the non-seals slide:

Well, I hope it goes together ok. I can't buy the Kimber kit because they require so much fitting. I cant bring myself to spend $400 on something that I can potentialy screw up....Oh well, I'll just have to buy the real thing...

From what i've heard and from this guide: The Guide (PGC Kimber SCW 1 Version), by the infamous Marcus. It seems fairly easy to fit in (He had to mod his because it was not a SCW 2 one). Also mystic said that the hammer area was not as hard as it seems.

Hehe, I fancy buying a 1911 SCW2 and kimber kit but it's pretty expensive, and then I'd probably have import troubles/duties. Considering I'm buying as much as I can as quickly as I can atm (for obvious reasons to those in the UK) I've got to be sensible. But yes, it's SO DAMN tempting dry.gif

Plus, I expect they had to get permission to use the Kimber trademark(s) and I imagine they were cheaper on the P226 than the kimber, thus forcing marui to up the price.

Were off track a tiny bit, so minor course correction, well my assumptions were correct, while US Customs is waiting to clear my package, Redwolf put up a photo of the kit:

Awesome reproduction of the older style sig 226, looks like it also includes a rear blade style sight.

So here's my question, what should I install? the standard marui rear sight or the blade sight?

That looks really nice, a P226 and a silver frame/slide may just do the trick for my GBB...

Edit: Yeah, personally I'd go with the blade sight but give em both a try and see what you prefer wink.gif

Correct. I'll try both sights and see which of the two I like most, cool thing they gave you the choice.

Now where are the aftermarket grips?!!

Now the question: to put a surefire tac light on it, yay/nay?

Those are nice, but stick out too far in front of the SIG in my opinion. And a bitch to holster.

Definately, but your *beep* out of luck if you want to get that on a non-rail frame 226, right?
