I was comparing full set prices and found some high quality cheap sets. The first being what appears to be the Prime/Boom Arms set at Guns n Guys for HK$2250 = £163 approx for standard non suppressor setup.
http://www.gunsnguys.com/home_ie5_1024.htm link is a bit buggered so go to 'gun parts - others'

Then on Tokyo Model Co I found a full Creation set for $219 = £123 approx http://www.tokyo-model.com.hk/trade/productview/3353

Am I reading this right?

Hang on a minute! What's up with all the names etc. Who makes what as the last time I looked the Prime/Boom, or whatever their name is, was going for $375. On WGC it states PGC is so and so price and prime is flippin' expensive.
So what are you talking about?

Instead of being so bloody agro maybe it would be better for all and myself if you could tell us if Prime/Boom, PGC, Action, Creation etc are either one and the same or different companies instead of just showing an Action set which to me bears no relationship to the expensive Prime/Boom and Creation sets which I was highlighting and are most commonly seen as very expensive.

basicly there is no difference between the standard Prime kit (Non-individual serial set) and the one i posted above.

Also my freind Kikurin has purchased the Prime model and the reason they also to be fitted by professional is because the parts don't fit and need redrilling in some places.

To be honest i was a little offended by what you said but if no offence was intended then no harm done.

I did not realise, and I'm sure most people don't, that most of these perceived different companies are in fact just one or two companies in which they have what could be deemed an up market version (i.e. individual serial numbers etc) and then a lower end version which is the same but not individually marked.

Anyway, we are getting into normal airsoft discussion here so I was wondering if you could do a definitve guide to all the companies and state which ones are the same company, who does high grade and low grade versions and their usual price. I think this would be of much use to everyone and obviously stick it in Discussion because we've run out of steam here.

Cheers.

Yeah, wtf? At that price, I'd expect the Action branded set to be some die-cast sub-Zeke KJW-class rubbish - but it isn't?

Instead of all these metal kits, I'd much rather prefer if someone made a friggin metal part 17, biotch!! sad.gif

There are current in the real of FULL metal sets:

Prime railed and non-railed (got one of these on my first 226)
PGC railed and non-railed (got one coming from WGC, non railed)
Action railed frame (looks to be cheap but you get what you pay for)
Guarder railed frame (looks on par with PGC, but I'll let you know when I get my PGC kit)

In addition Creation offers a metal slide in silver and black.

Bert, the Prime kit is NOT the action kit. The prime kit looks VERY close to my real 9m 226. As fareast pointed out the prime kits require drilling, sanding, and filing to make work. This has always been the case with prime's stuff, first to market, not always first to get it right.

I'd just like to point out that the Creation slide required absolutely no filing or sanding of any sort; it was a straight drop-in.

yes, on my CPO 9mm 226 it has Stainless. And that's the real one.

So, Creation full set. Anyone tried this? The price is very reasonable, if the earlier released Creation slide is an indication of the quality, fit and finish of this set. So what's da word?

Does anybody know if the PGC kit allows you to mount a real Surefire P114 light on it?
