Suprised no one mentioned this earlier being that PDI have had both the 6 & 7 inch barrel & supressor adaptors out for a while via X-Fire.

I wouldnt bother with it to be honest. The thread itself is ok (though appears to be plastic), and the inner barrel does bring up the FPS a tad on the 6 & 7 " barrels, but the way the adaptor is attached is poor.

Basically a groove runs around the inner barrel, and 3 grubs screws sit in that to hold on the adaptor, problem is the screws either dont sit properly on the barrel, (i.e. too far foward and not in the groove) and as a result it flies off when shooting eventually.

If not, and they are made to sit actually in the groove, the adaptor then pushes back the slide slightly - enough to prevent the slide catch from being used. TBH i wouldnt trust it for a supressor - either live without, or get the SAS kit.

What..? These have been out for ages, on X-Fire! Ancient news. Zzz.gif

And, as G_R said, SAS kit FTW.

I think what i said of it sums it up for the amount of effort it is worth (and yes what i said is based on the fact i bought it, though mainly for the barrel)

SAS kit FTW, much rather have a solid thread on a block that's not attached to the slide IMO.

Yes, the barrel itself is in fact excellent. Very nice power, range, accuracy and general pwnage. PDI barrels FTW.
