This is our next step forward in non-exploding grenades for military simulation gaming. Its primary function is to project up to 200 Airsoft BBs but it is also compatible with most standard "paint" type fills.

How well do they work in a woodland environment? If I throw one at someone that is in tall grass or it lands in some underbrush will it still disberse? I know the AG01 was worthless outdoors for that reason.

"Intertube, Water, BBs... Not impressed."
1/4" ID Millspeck latex to be exact.  tongue.gif
come on 200 bb payload a compared to the 30 bb payload of the more "impressive"  Escort grenades????
heres a list of US pattents

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/4461117.pdf
they have all tryed to "make a better" grenade for wargames and Military training, At least one of the pattents belongs to the US navy
They all have been unsucessfull products.  The state of PB grenades has remaind almost unchanged for 15 years
The reastion is simpule, latex is light,  stores a large amount of engery, and it's flexabilty gives items an built in cushion factor.
short of a pyro charge (not leagal in the US) no one has found a better (IE more efective and just as safe or safer) way. The grenades end up becoming too heavy and ridgid to safely throw @ some one.

Rapier they apper to work well in a woodland setting. The unit bounces up off the ground.  In many cases to 3', this helps the BBs get up and away form many "snags".
If you are asking it has power to "punch" threw dence leaves and thickets then the answer is no.
But I can say this unit does have a better spread then the AG-01
and for all you "looks" sluts out there that are cringing @ the thought of carying a "black saugage" into combat.
these are in the works

2 peice HDPE plastic "shell" the goes around  the grenade, to make it look like a grenade flamed.gif
no release date set yet as there is still much work to be done. I would expect some  prototypes for sale as "test" units late Nov.

i dont think i would want to play with those if it sprays that white *beep* all over the place... that would prolly be a good hour of cleaning that ###### off of just your gun.

But..those..are..bbs...

Unless you spend hours cleaning your gun after every skirmish?

Personally, I think these will be great, ill defiantly take a few if they would fit in the grenade holders on either side of the 3 m16 magazine alice pouch.

It uses water as a means of propelling the BBs out of the tube. Water, from what I understand, does not stain.

Also, most "paint" now-a-days is water soluble. It's made of a soapy stuff, or something like that.

but if it were paint, and it got on ur gun, would you not want to clean it off?
EDIT: even water could cause a problem on an AEG

It you submerge it.

If you get some drops of water on it, it's not going to break.

BoomBoom, so you will not play in wet weather? What kinda airsofter are you? Here in KC we play Rain or shine, even in subfreezing weather. As long as you clean your gun after the event it's fine. So long as you don't submerg it as VisionViper said. Even then if it DOES get submerged don't fire it, just let it dry and clean it and it'll run just fine. I know I'd love to get my hands on a few of these bad boys!

I've got water on my Weesatch; I'm going home wink.gif

I await with interest, but we've been promised uber-grenades before, and they always end up breaking my heart sad.gif
"Well I've had a word with Joe, and he says instead of making a cable and sending a signal for my TAT B's, I can do a jump into a DZ from 600-metres with an Epson printer-scanner on my back, and then tab 10 miles over undulating terrain, at night, to unlock an officer's user account after he got the password wrong three times."

I probably still prefer the Spectrum pyros. But as I understand it you can't use them in the USA.

If you got the white tip more tube like, and painted it silver it would look like those old soviet grenades. smile.gif

I take it that these are 1 time use grenades.

On a different note, in a night game, someone broke a glowstick, and lobbed it at people, you could see them a mile away!!

They look ok, but the ASC17 claymores from airsoft scotland look a lot more fun.  tongue.gif

If you're so afraid of your AEG that you wouldn't risk getting a little spray on it.. Go back to plinking. Seriously.
