It's free float RAS which doesn't require you to remove the front site and the barrel nut. Seems like a pretty good idea to me.

RAS 2 is free float as it doesn't utilize a handguard cap. Here is a picture of my old RAS 2 installed on my friend's SR-16 M4 AEG:

Tackleberry...you are right as I see in the photo but at the same time I have come across real steel photos of RASII with the handguard cap. And also the GP replica have the handguard cap. Is it possble that KAC made 2 versions of the RASII? Or maybe it can be used with or without the cap. I see the PN # is the same...another way of doing something similar is to get the short (4inch) picatinny rail from Bushmaster and attach that between the receiver and the RIS to strengthen the joint and therefore minimizing the barrel wobble...

Exactly. No need to keep the cap, but if you want you can.
To avoid further questions how it works, take a look to the KAC installation manual for RAS 2

If you install a RAS2 on a real steel CAR15 it is easier to keep to handguard cap since you will need to remove the front sight to remove the handguard cap.

The best way to remove barrel wobble is to get a reinforced barrel and a metal body. I have two AEGs with metal body and reinforced barrel and they are rock solid:

I didn't have have that problem.
I just over-stretched the spring for the charging/cocking handle.. I have done that on a couple of metal bodies. The next time I am going to install a metal body I am going to use a G&P cocking handle, since it has a hole for the hump on the mech-box

or I am going to saw off the hump on the mech-box. (I did the later on the M635 mech box after destroying the spring)

My mag-well is still too tight but I don't need to use a lot of force to insert a magazine (which I hade to do when I first got the kit.)

I have installed the fake bolt. It was a bit tight but it worked.
