Looks like I might need one of those (IMG:http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
I wonder if the got the trades right... Anyway, nice find. Any chance you can put up bigger images (or more views). Thanks. edit: yeah, hopefully they'll decide to sell the pieces individually as well as in kit form. This post has been edited by Ledpocket: Nov 19 2005, 06:50 PM -------------------- |

That looks horn.

It looks like Ares made 2 versions of the lowere receiver. One magwell was cut in half while one magwell wasn't cut. The cut version allows direct attachment of the boxmag to the lower receiver. The non-cut version requires the use of a box mag adapter.
Use the pic below for reference. Check out the 2 lower receivers. Somehow HurricanE had to sold the feeding issue. Hey, HurricanE, if you guys are listening, your prices are too high, hehehe. (IMG:http://sparrowunit.smugmug.com/photos/19547494-M.jpg) Hurricane also used an older version of the Shrike. Above is the newer version. Here's Ares' older version below (just like HurricanE's version) : (IMG:http://sparrowunit.smugmug.com/photos/19547550-M.jpg) This post has been edited by scooberoo: Nov 20 2005, 12:45 AM -------------------- Sig image limit is 400x100. What scooberoo said...ARES built two types of lowers. Also, with those pics it's way too hard to tell how accurate it is to the real counterpart. From those pics, I don't see any flagrant differences...who knows. This post has been edited by LeMongelo: Nov 20 2005, 02:41 AM -------------------- ![]() <- for sale![]() |

No fake links?
I'd only want it if it resembled the belt-fed version. -------------------- If you like a gun only because it's different, and hate another because it's common, then don't be offended if I think you're a complete idiot.

QUOTE (Kukailimoku @ Nov 19 2005, 11:17 PM) Thats the only version they make! Otherwise it wouldn't be a shrike. On the real Shrike the box is there to hold the ammo and nothing more...much like the 249 -------------------- Mike: HAHAHAHAHA, check the board.
