""Magnatech" the new series
WA will be releasing the new lines of low cost GBBs under the "Magnatech" brand. While their hi-end SCW series are perfected for their finish and weight, the Magnatech models will be concentrating on functionality. The prices are certainly more reasonable compared to their SCW models, but they have use the same SCW ver.3 mechaninsm as well as newly designed hop barrel.
The first two models will be Government Mark.IV Series70 and M1911A1 MIlitary model."

Could upset TM's 1911 plans...

WA SCW TLE /RL II = 25000 yen = £121 on WA site. HK price = 1380 HK$ = £103. £18 difference.
WA Magnatech M1911A1 = 13800 yen = £67 on WA site. Assuming there is a significant price difference when it get to HK, probably not as much as the SCW models, maybe around £10? So thats possibly £57 for one of the new WA's. If i'm right, thats bound to mess up TM's plans.

You could be right! This is interesting, I do love functionality.
I hope KSC & Maruzen will follow suit. It's nice with guns that, like, work. And, like, keep working.

Edit ~ Note I said "I've yet to encounter." I'm sure there are great WA guns out there, but I've never met them. They're like the yeti: I hear tales, but it always turn out to be a hairy nudist out for a stoll.
*Not really

"Oh these are rubbish... Why couldn't they make a gun that looks as good as their full price guns for this low price? If only WA were TM..."
Let's see how they pan out, before getting too excited or disappointed about them. Nice to see WA taking on the cheap end of the market, though, as well as dominating the high quality replica market
Cheers.

Don't blame them either, they're making a mint off people like me who buy multiple pistols, and tons of mags.

Edit:
With TM, I feel the recoil isn't strong enough and don't like the lack of a transfer hammer system.
The KSC (if the M945 is any indicator and it seems like it is) seems to have a lot of small plastic parts which are metal on the Hicapa and WA, as well as the lack of a transfer hammer system.
I don't like the idea that the WA is made with fixed hop up with 134a power levels in mind. Mine will clock at around 230 fps on 134a, but jump to 350 on propane or green gas. I seriously doubt the fixed hop up will be sufficient for that much of a power increase...
