This is the same one being sold by King Arms. They attached a cheap scope to it though.

The AtoZ is the same as the King Arms and the KM Head. They are all the same gun made by the same company. They just get different distribution rights in different regions. The one I held was ok but the pull was crazy on the bolt, and I was standing. Prone, there's no way it could be cycled. Maybe it was bad or the shop screwed with it and put a bigger spring in, but it was unfit for use as it was.

right, lets get one thing straight here.

the only accurate SVD spring replica (like the one you posted above) is made by Atoz Cargo ( www.atozcargo.com ).

That includes the KM Head 1950 one, the King Arms one, Blah blah blah.

The ONLY thing that is different about the one on shortys, is it has a crappy scope, with a crappy mount (POSP 4x24M FOR THE WIN!).

it also *looks* as if its real wood, but to be honest, its dodubtful.

QUOTE
The new version of the SVD produced by Atoz Armaments will be constructed completely out of metal and wood. There are absolutely no plastic parts on this gun and the beautiful stock is made out of real wood. Not imitation, not wood like, REAL wood.

they lie. its not a new version, they've just started marketing them with wood.

There ARE plastic parts. the magazine is one of them. not much else is though.

also, as to the "difficult to cock" comment, thats completely rubbish.

i used my KA for a half an hour game, and was prone for about 20 of those. not difficult to cock if you know how strong the spring is. its like all spring snipers/shotguns. first time, you wont be able to do it.

hope this clears things up.

i agree with Tink - i had a feel of his weapon huh.gif , and, after my first impression of it being long enough to fish with, i had a go at the spring. it WAS very hard to pull, but only because i was pulling lightly as i didn't want to yank the cocking mech out of the gun. once i had a feel for it, it was easier as you know what the 'critical torque" is.

im afrid to say, the palstic stock and grips on Tink's gun are a bit, well, orange, and easily identifiable as plastic, more so than TM Ak's. but i think he has wood plans for it. and it shoots very nice aswell. which is most improtant.

What's the price on this SVD with and without the scope? Also can it be upgraded with standard parts or is everything custom made?

Thanks! Zune

dont know of a price yet, but standard price from HK seems to be arond $520 with the cheek pad and no scope.

should take standard AEG springs/pistons, although to be honest, its doubtful you'll want to, it's firing beautifully anyway.

not sure if it comes with the scope, and generally, if it comes with the scope, they arent likely to sell it without the scope.

i was impressed by Tinks gun yesterday. it chrono'd at about 500 FPS, give or take 10, compeltely stock.

nice indeed.

you still should have taken the shot Tink, you would have missed and i could have chalked up another 'debut kill' for the CAR-15 tongue.gif
