Scroll down and you'll see a Tanaka S&W PC629 Hunter HW slated for a Decmber 16th release if my reading is correct.

629 indicates a stainless steel (silver) finish on the gun, first time I've seen this combined with HW material from Tanaka.

No sign as to whether it has the latest Tanaka hop system, but people are always after 29/629s and this is sure to be popular either way!

Cheers.

Looks good, and so does the KCS USP, TK USP, Marushin M2 Carbine, Sig P210 and silver Automag.

Still no release date for the new M1100...

Off-topic but referring to the link. It looks like the Marushin M2 is full-auto capable. That makes it the first full-auto 8mm AEG and it's gas. The Tanaka AICS is finally coming around too, at a price we all expected though.

Would any one take up the wager that the finish will be a spray paint finish on that Tanaka? I hope they remake that old 3" flatside M29...

Lets hope it has the new style Pegasus system + adjustable hop.

Then if that's the case its mine.

I expect the finish will be the same as the other non-black Tanaka revolvers, which will be a spray paint job, albeit a very good one.

I've never seen any non-black airsoft gun that WASN'T painted, though (ignoring metal guns with polished slides, of course).

Cheers.

Snowman, I'm not sure about the revolvers that you had reviewed, but the 3" M29 in silver that I had was actually plated (or seemed to be...). It seemed to be more akin to WA Inox finish, rather than the new spray-painted silvers that WA's been putting out recently.

Bingo.

The only Tanaka stainless finish I've seen that looks like paint is on the barrel of their M629 Classic 8". All the other plastic parts have had the usual metalcote.

But I am concerned that the HW might be a spray paint finish only, certainly won't be as durable.

Chris.

mmmmm - All the Tanakas I've seen are painted. Some have a laquer coat over the top, but they are all painted - WA Inox is the same.

From the photos, I'd expect the finish to be exactly the same as the earlier Performance Center 629s, like the V-Comp and standard ABS PC.

Cheers.

Man, I've wanted a 629 PC for a while... This and the USP .45 in the same week! Mean!

What? You can't use green in them? Why didn't someone tell me this before I ran all my guns on green with no ill effects to date?
