I have the current UTG and its an excellent value (I use it for my dedicated CQB weapon)...seems like they are starting to do a bit more quality control and are cloning the metal TM mags...
It's easy to sell things cheap when using chinese manufacturing, and now that they have been at it for a few months, they are starting to get a feel for the market.
2 or 3 years from now, CYMA, Well/UTG/Leapers, and SRC could be major players in the american and european airsoft market
edit: although you guys are right about the source...

ie.Advantage of this over the UTG MP5 is that it shoots consistently at average 40 FPS higher than the UTG, the power is exactly like the Tokyo Marui one.

eh???
Sorry, I'm not following your point at all.
EDIT:
My understanding is that matrix is evike's private lable, so perhaps this is just a new model UTG which they have upgraded in house? If that is the case, they must be getting a sweet deal on the base guns, and mags to be able to sell them for $100.00.

just so ya know, the Version 3 UTG MP5 that airsoftgi.com is selling gets just as much FPS as the one in that add.

well the thought of what "red dot scope" it probably comes with sends chills down my spine. So essentially, it comes with a cheap plastic thing to shoot at?

You can get replacement gears for your utg if they strip for like $10.
With the matrix stuff...it'll cost ya if some gears strip or something goes wrong. I'll probably get this though, the metal magazines sealed the deal

How do the m-5's feel and what is their finish like Rapier?
Like is it thick, sturdy plastic with no creaking?
Any problems with them so far?
I'm thinking about getting one
