Megalomaniac
http://renegaderecon.com/recon_details.php?id=307 That just made that pistol sound so much more awesome, 230ish FPS, full set with battery and charger. If all goes well I'll be getting this puppy for christmas and shorty after righting up a review of it.
Antagon
"Combined with temperature effects, gas tank differences and mechanical limitations gas pistols have always had distinctive drawbacks. " Funny, I know a man who owns an Mk23 that has 85 yard range..and the majority of that being accurate range.
sp00n
I will kill something if these lameass electric pistols get really popular like AEGs did.

My Para has excellent range but even in this cold (its maybe in the 50s here in new york) it has ###### poor gas efficiency and has that nasty cool down effect when fire too rapidly (read as in real combat conditions). My Para is going to be my target/summer gun and the 18C my year round skirmish weapon.

To hell with these electric pistols.
Antagon
Last winter I used my KJW G23 in 35F...performed like a champ, I'd say range was at LEAST 100 feet... Like I said, I'll sell you a gun that works in any temp, holds 1000 rounds, and shoots 100rps....but it ain't gonna be realistic.
Megalomaniac
Woo 35F if get whole lot colder that that round here, and most likely theres gonna be more than a few skirmishes in the fresh snow. I like the idea having a full size electric full auto Glock, gas guns to me atleast seem to make good guns only when the weather is warm. Also I'm not keen on dumping mass amounts of pollutants into the air especially in cloe quarters, I can't stand the smell of propane and the price of the illegally odorless green gas is too high make using it worth it. Antagon are you just against the 18C AEG cause it is a pistol and doesn't have blow back? Its not like it has hopper on it and 80 million RIS/RAS/FAR (Fruitcake attachment Rails) on it. Gas guns are more fun, and thats what airsoft is all about.
Megalomaniac
Weak? Its only a little bit less powerful than AEGs, I don't see how its weak.
sp00n
Weak? Its only a little bit less powerful than AEGs, I don't see how its weak. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 230FPS is unacceptable for me.
Megalomaniac
230FPS is unacceptable for me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But stock AEGs shoot in the neighboor hood of 250FPS its only 20 less that neglible. I'm not saying gas guns suck, I just think they make better target pistols than primiary skirmish weapons.
Catchv22
I honestly don't see the problem with this thing. A sidearm to use semi automatically when it snows doesn't seem like a bad thing. I can't imagine a GBB/NBB doing that. I doubt I'd ever buy it, but I don't see the need to bash it.
Megalomaniac
Actually I want it cause it is an AEG in a pistol sized package, and I feel much more comfortable with a pistol in my hands than I do a rifle (less things to mash against the ground when do some crazy roll or something out of the line of fire). Banzai
Thats why I got a nice springer for a sidearm when its to cold to use a gas gun. To hell with these electric pistols. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have to agree, a well made springer with hi fps ill taske over an EBB any day
Megalomaniac
But this isn't an EBB... its one of Marui's new MAEGs read the damnnable link I posted at the top, fore you post. Wow I wasn't expecting this much of a bad reaction to it.
Banzai
MAEG, ok its a complex EBB! (sigh* seriously, doesnt change my opinion one bit.
Megalomaniac
but Banzai that means that you are saying that a springer could beat an AEG? (well i guess it could in comptent hands but there is only such a person can do) Don't let the springer kiddies win! Its not a complex EBB its a smaller but almost as good AEG.
Antagon
I guess you just have different priorities than myself and sp00n...then again, I use a gas blowback rifle for my primary, not a whiney unrealistic AEG.
Banzai
i know what an MAEG is, tini lil cutsy gearbox motor thingy whoop dee do! I still am not satisfied. when they have a hard kick ebb that shoots at at least 320 fps that uses a good lot of metal in it, i will be happy
night hunter
Heres much better news: http://renegaderecon.com/recon_details.php?id=316 I wish a quick and painless end to the electric saga.
Banzai
tis good news expect the fact that 20k yen is still like, 200 bux give or take
Hissing_Sid
Must admit, so long as it's not stupidly expensive over here I'll probably buy one... Eventually. Unfortunately, sooner or later, it'll probably end up in bits, in an attempt to install the guts inside something like a springer MP7. I dunno. Personally I'd rather TM released a bunch of DIY internals kits so people could muck about with that sort of stuff.
arizonabay
Yeah, okay so let me get this straight. Not only does it not have any blowback(which I already knew). But it doesn't even have a full size magazine?? Why bother.
CountDoom
People will use pistols and not aegs!!! I think if these become popular, the answer will be for sights to allow you say 2 electric guns only. It inst realy bad i suppose, the MP5k isnt that much bigger than a large handgun , and ppl use that a bunch.
CountDoom
NBB anyone? No worse or better just cheaper to run! And full auto
