Blah the markings are totally wrong... acording to this picture, this specific G36 was manufactured in the 15th month of 2004 ... okay, a year has 15 months on the Star planet biggrin.gif

Further the pictograms indicating the firing modes are too small and the full-auto marking is wrong (four rounds pictured, a real G36 has five rounds to indicate the fullauto mode)

Also note that awful molding imperfections in the triggerguard and at the pistol grip. It will be a pain to hold this gun without gloves.

Okay Star, back to the drawing board smile.gif

OMG the gun isn't identical to a real one, down to the letters printed on it. i think you may be one of few who cares, and why does it bother you ? dont the trades have to be burnt off in germany anyway ?

you're bothered about the serial number, but nto about that writing next to it about STAR airsoft and electric air gun ??

and do you REALLY think that tiny mould line is going to 'dig into your hand and give great pain' ?

look at it - its about half a mm tall dude !!!

SW, I was just going to say about the same thing about the moulding... that is really a minute amount to have... and easily cleaned up if it really bothers you that much.

how about you get your panties out of a bunch and relax... we know that the RS gun is made in germany, and no airsoft company ever gets the trades, or something right... who cares... its a nice looking gun

Awh, Uni is just a perfectionist when it comes to his guns, nothing wrong with that. Realism is part of the sport after all.

Despite the casting line the body looks pretty good. The color and texture look comparable to realsteel in that pic. Maybe not exactly right but close and certainly better than TM at least (not as good as CA I think). I can't wait to see one in person.

It's also nice to see someone finally got the full size stock right, plus the new dual optic carry handle looks promising. If I wanted a full size G36 this would be very tempting (despite the incorrect markings).

*Wait's patiently for the SL9*

Airsoft: As realistic as possible, as unrealistic as necessary. These are two very small faults but they are still annoying because it wouldn't cost anything to correct it. Especially that 15th month of 2004 is stupid.

The only marking that need to be removed in Germany is that HK Logo.

DUDE, ever handled a CA G36 or M15 ? Same problem there, you have to sand it down for comfortable handling. rolleyes.gif

Agree with you mate, also the flashhider looks pretty real. Nevertheless there are still a few faults in the design. Why haven't they used a longer gas-system? That would add stability to the barrel, so the plastic plate in the handguard wouldn't be needed. I'm also curious how well the new dual optic is made. The old model was crappy. (But even if it's well made, I still think it's a just for style item. A rail mounted reddot is still a better choice - both in realsteel and Airsoft wink.gif )

I concur.

The plate/short gas system is just silly. They probably did it to save money, the same assembly can be used in several models this way.

The dual optic really does make this gun a good value compared to the CA (IF it's good, and IF you like it). It goes for ~$200 separately. This makes the gun seem a lot cheaper!

'C or KSK carry handle with EO-Tech or AimPoint is still the way to go (or single optic with rail + EO-Tech if need be) IMHO. biggrin.gif

Uni, which G36/c/k/ke/e (including kits) is the most realistic, in your opinion? (I'd just really like to know.)

I may be getting my hands on a CA G36 soon. Maybe I should wait for some reviews on this piece.

Sure, the grip isnt the most tidy in terms of moulding, and i would say who cares when the majority of players use gloves, but i spose thats what happens in mass produced manufacture of plastic based items.

It doesnt look too bad overall, in terms of trades it wouldnt bother me too much if the date and things are wrong. The STAR & AEG ones would bug me more, most people wouldnt know all the anoraky stuff tongue.gif

Hopefully the G36K with the KSK handle will be cheaper? Due to the red dot not being included?

The 'recommended' price is different on Star's site at least, the G36 is 465 where as the K is 415. No red dot, no bipod, I'd hope for a more significant difference than that though.

The CA g36 is a better bang for the buck anyway. You can pick it up for around 295 here in the US if you know where to look.
