here is a pic from the star website showing where the battery goes on the AFV

the website states it as being an 8.4v 600 miah battery, I presume it is a mini battery

no news on price and release date yet though, but it does come with the susat.

Looks like the mag is sized to represent the new 20rd AFV mag. Just need the DPM AFV crew vest and that would be a neat CQB loadout.

That would work. I was refering to the vehicle crew body armor cover. It has various pockets like an aircrew survival vest to hold first aid, water & a couple of 20rd SA80 mags. The current ones don't hold the SAPI's just the fragmentation liner, and also have a nomex outer that covers the pouches to give a non snag facing when worn inside the warrior. Can't find a pic at the moment.

Good luck getting one.

They are pretty gucci though -a normal assault vest, but with a velcro flap on the front to keep it snagproof. So it might not be too practical for airsoft.

That AEG looks like a PITA to change batteries.

Yep, and you'll be switching batteries a lot if they're only 600MAH.

SoF had them in stock pre-Christmas but now doesn't list them. Must be some knocking around. Actually they were probably sold to the public before they issued them on a large scale to the troops, not for the first time! I think they'd be okay for short CQB games, a lot of places will limit it you to 300rds for instance.

Not hard to get em, they just cost quite a bit for what they are.

2nd up from bottom I think a friend just ordered one with some tank crew overalls, I'll let you know how he likes them.

7 day suspension you say?... Oh well.

Stuff that, the outdoor does them for £50. It's just a matter of getting one in your size thats hard. Mainly because tankers are usually small people.

I wonder why they filed them away there, I was positive they were in the modern section previously. I should have searched for tank instead of AFV I suppose. Simple is best.

Now I want the Doc Martin book. Strange no picture of Martin Clunes on the cover though. tongue.gif

The airsoft L85 mags are just the same as all the other M16/STANAG mags out htere now, right? I mean, I know there are differences, but it should fit in M16 series weapons too, right?

on this one in particular I honestly dont know why they didnt just hinge the top receiver (not as though theres anything of any use actually in the top receiver of these anyway)

the teeny space in that front section to store the battery isnt going to be any bigger than the room available in top receiver

I dont see there being an expecially more powerful battery available for this for a while the cells used to get a battery into that tight a space are going to be pretty small (polly smaller than a normal mini?) even assuming they are normal mini cells then you're looking at maybe 1200 MAh max on an off the shelf battery?

Im not keen on the idea of highcaps (or in this case a clockwork midcap) on a bullpup either - you have to move the grip hand back past the trigger hand anytime you want to retention the spring

Um here is a tip, buy a 1100mAh Ni-Mh mini. Exactally same size as 600mAh mini thus no battery changes unless you play really heavy.

My experience is Sanyo 600 mah always last longer than GP 1100 mah 30%.

If this comes with a SUSAT, it'll only be so they can justify the high price of a tiny gun. A scope on a CQB gun seems incredibly superfluous.
