After several discussion on the forum, we decide to produce this low power (can't shoot out B.B.) + lot smoke (baby powder) + loud land mine.

We estimate the smoke will only reach to your knees.

Moreover, the retail price will be around $20.....

The following is the proto-type "print out" by RP.

Wow!

That looks awesome, I'm personally a big fan of any milsim additions to airsoft, especially ones this cheap! A great idea, when are they likely to hit the shelves?

I can't wait to set up a mine field in my back garden for roaming cats...

I'm guessing it MUST be re-usable.  Does it use CO2 cartridges, like other (more expensive) landmines I've seen?

It is reusable and it use green gas "only"
Size is about 10 cm, kinda of small but you can carry some of them easily...
Price is also the point....god....it is so cheap...

Problem being to get someone to step on it, i'm guessing you would really need to buy 5 to cover a small path.

wow that looks great. from what i can see in those pictures i'm guessing it uses the same mechanism as other moscarts use. just the valve release mechanism is placed between the top and bottom half of the unit compared to the pin on the normal moscarts.

will the smoke land mine be strong enough to take Co2 gas?

and how effective is it to use baby powder to create the smoke effect?
(pictures or videos will be great when you have a working prototype)

Sweet! That is awesome! I'll second the request for a price estimate. Maybe make a larger version? Just for a larger spread/less mines to lay...
I do like the idea of having some really small ones though; great for lay n' scoot.
And I'm VERY glad you're going to change the colour.

We don't want it to be too powerful...because it may hurt people...
So...we will limite the power and will only make it loud and effective.
The baby powder will hit your knees...

It will not have enough power to fire something other than baby powder.

DAMN! why do Airsoft manufactureres do this too me! I finaly get aproved for a damn purchase loan for a house and just need to save up the closing costs and then TM releases the MP7, Madbull releases the land mines (which I'd have to buy 5 of, good buy $100) ARG! How am I supposed to save money at this rate!

What's it made out of, or more importantly how sturdy is it, stepping on it is one thing but will it be able to take a pair of size 12's running over it in a firefight?

vague idea of radius? 50cm, 5 metres?

Cheers
Mig
