MTek Predator Facial Armor

A pic of this was seen in the headgear section of the pictures forum, now here's the company that makes it.

A few pics from US Marines in Iraq:

Sure, it's ugly, but its useful, and its looks may grow on some people over time.

Over time, I'm pretty sure Proud or King Arms or Guarder is going to knock off this piece of equipment, since this is looking like it won't find its way into civilian hands any time soon. But if that does happen, at least you won't have to worry about the stray unspeakable FPS BB blasting through the holes in the paintball mask and giving you a nasty welt...(that actually did happen my first airsoft game)

my opinion it kinda stupid.. safe but stupid.. its WAY to big n i think it will be hard to aim with that thing on.

anyways its a good idea if it was smaller also if they offer eye protection =]

OR a mask like the soldiers in quake 4 lol

From reading their website, it's not ment for people actually moving/aiming weapons. It's supposed to be for the guy ontop of the HUMVEE/STRIKER/Tank/etc. that's shooting the .50 cal, since his head is exposed.

Good idea for that.

Bad idea for everything else.

Russians got there first.

(Yes I'm joking).

Looks a bit unwieldy and impractical for airsoft or real life to me.

Thanks for not answering my question. I know what it's NOT designed for. My point is that there's a picture of a guy HOLDING an M16.

My question is: "Can you AIM a GUN while WEARING IT?"

WELL...

If you guyse watched fox news the other day they interviewed the guy who made it. It is supposetd to weigh one lb and doesnt sacrafice peripheral vision. Sure it does look stupid but after the interview i started thinking bout 500fps paintball with one of those and armoured suits lol. ANyways from what I gathered they arent as bad as you guys might thin although aimng could result in some issues.

Indeed.

More than anything I'd say this is designed just to help the guys breath, bearing in mind he might be part of a convoy with 20 trucks, ahead, churning up dust.
Then there's the abrasion from the dust too.

It's not ballistic armour. It's just there to give the guy a bit of comfort.
