Search function help

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to use Boolean search terms in the site's search engine? Say I want to search for all topics with 'italian' and 'website' in them; I've tried

italian AND website

and

+italian +website

but neither of these forms work. I've looked at the help page, but it makes no mention of anything like this, is it even possible? I know you can search using Google's site:www.arniesairsoft.co.uk but that means you don't get any of the options of the site's search engine e.g. searching specific forums.

Are you still looking for that "build-a-gun" thing?

The one I recall was a black page with a big gun in the middle and a window on the left where you could pick stuff like scopes, stocks and foregrips.

The ones linked to so far aren't the one I recall seeing. I had the bookmark saved on my old HDD too. Doh!

Thanks Hissing Sid, I've found it now (here)

But I think this highlights an 'issue' I have with this site, which is that if combining search terms does nothing when you search, coupled with the fact that the search engine refuses to search using 3 letters, I think people should be a bit more hesitant when flaming newbies who ask questions already addressed.

Maybe instead of the search function we should just have a howto on using google's advanced features?

On the other hand, have you seen the garbage that comes up when using the site:wwwarniesairsoft.co.uk function? Pages that aren't even from this site. Plus, how long does it take for newly made threads to be found and indexed by google? I couldn't find the thread I wanted using google I think because it was too new.

What does everyone else think?

Hmmm.

To be honest, that wasn't the site I was thinking of.

regarding the search function, it's a bit of a disaster if you ask me. Most guns have names less that 4 characters and most people refer to guns in the shortest possible way, for example as "MP5"s, not as "H&K MP5"s.
