Personally, I love the wooden grips... this gun looks amazing. However, I ordered the already tried-and-true HFC M199, so it's a bit late for that.

i may have got this wrong, but isn't the special edition cheaper on WGC than the normal versions?

HFC M199 Special Edition ( Semi/Full Auto, Full Metal ) In Stock US$107.00

HFC HG199 Metal ( Semi/Full Auto Version ) In Stock US$115.00

Hmm...
This may be the reason, but I'm not sure-
It says on the HFC M190 Special Edition's title "Full Metal", yet in the description it says "Metal slide and ABS grips". In the regular one, it says "Metal side and frame, ABS grips".
Perhaps the frame is plastic? Not sure, it's rather vague.

i see what you mean but the item title for both the special editions says full metal, very confusing.

im glad they went for a black finish, goes well with the new grips.

Yeah, definately.
If someone could throw forward an inquiry to WGC that'd be great, I think I've ###### them off enough with mine.
Also, the power seems to be lower of a regular HFC M190 (based off reviews, of course, I have yet to chrono one), this one seems to be around 280-290.

HFC you say? Never heard of them. I don't think they've ever been discussed on here.

6 reviews in the Database. Three and a bit pages of results if I search on "M190." I'm gonna guess we've covered most things you'd want to know in there somewhere.

noooo!!

_____

upon properly investigating the HFC's, i'm def. getting one biggrin.gif

quick and painless question tho (i actually searched for this one this time rolleyes.gif but to no avail), can the grips be replaced with real-steel ones? or some other aftermarket ones? (more interested in the compensated version and i hear the trades on the grips are not to one's likings)

If these are like the standard full metal M190's than no, normal real steal M9 grips won't work. The M190 grips kind of wrap around the frame in a way the RS don't.
(Sorry its a bit tough to describe, and I don't have the digi cam handy... maybe someone else can help out?)

Bottom line: AFAIK RS Grips wont work at all sad.gif

Let's see. Grips from the TM Berettas will fit. Real steel grips will fit on an a TM. Therefore, real steel grips will fit an HFC. Why wouldn't they?

I think he's getting confused with the way the standard grips extend down past the frame on the HFC's, but this is just because for some reason known only to HFC they made their grips longer. RS grips will fit as will TM ones.

RS grips will fit on the HFC. Here is a pic of mine with Pachmayr Full Signature Grips.
