Hello

This is my first post to this forum, and since I have to post in hopes that Arnie-geddon USA comes to California I figured I would post an afteraction report of our latest op out here in Southern California.

Here are some pics from the day.....

Raising the Flags to The Anthems of Japan and the United States, Japan's Anthem was played first, with Our own Anthem having the place of Honor. The Recording of the Star Spangled Banner that I used was from the Band of The United States Marine Corps. Alphawolf Raised the flags for us.

Another pic of the Marines raising the Flag at the summit of Suribachi...

Marine Marksman trying to suppress Japanese soldiers on Suribachi

The Pillbox, this place was heavily contested changing hands at least 5 times during the battle for airfield #1 Here the Japanese have just reclaimed it... For the moment, The Marines were the final claiments at the end of the first game, They started from here on the second game and had to first clear out the last defences in Japanese hands at airfield #1 (Tobruk) before they could advance on the positions defending suribachi, This allowed the Japanese the use of other terain to the east they would not have had, if the Marines had secured all of the airfield in the first game.

Japanese sniper, Anethema-aka-Larry holding the line....

Marines taking the forward commandpost/observation Bunker and clearing the "Windtalker" trench, still under fire from the main defensive complex at airfield #1.. bwang1624 and his friend dressed out in very good Marine uniforms, even bringing a gas M1 Garand rifle.!!!

Part of the final Suribachi defence lines, trench at the base of hill, with a pillbox at one end, pictured and a mortar pit and gun position at the other

Another view showing more of the connecting trench, note the break in the berm for the defenders to exit and counter attack/banzai charge!!

The other end of the final defence line.... Now above this, the defenders had heavy brush and trees to use for defence and sniping which the Japanese defenders used very well.

From the base of "Suribachi" looking up

The other pics can be found here.....

http://www.forshock.com/airsoft/gallery.asp look for the "Lenix Airsoft Field" folder, click on it and there are folders marked by date which will show the field as it was and how it has progressed since we opened it last sept. 22nd opening a folder will show you all the pics in that folder.

And Cheers to all the Brits out there, Im a Brit too, but have lived most of my life here in the USA
