am I the only one excited about this announced release by KWC?!

a full-size gas blowback ( I'm assuming its gas blowback, anyhoo) uzi, with a side folding stock, that runs on c02 (and most likely has the co2 running out of the full length magazine, rather than from a separate co2 rig), and no-ones mentioned anything on it?!

well, this is going into that list of things to buy to complete my cqb rig- just ordered an M870 from Uncompany, and was thrashing around looking for a decent fullauto gun.

originally thought "mp5, possibly an mp5K..." (obviously NOT the TM uzi) when traalaa, KWC announce the manufacture of this little puppy! yay, urban gangster/cop look for me all the way!

any one have any thoughts, oris it just me who's excited about this? :)

The KWC UZI in this thread? No, never heard of it, and no ones interested. ;)

Seriously, looks good and very interested.

you swine sledge, drop that sacastic tone of voice this instant, you 'orrible little man! stand up straight, shoulders back, eyes front, are those boots supposed to be polished? I don't think so, you're a disgrace soldier, give me twenty laps of the parade ground, hut-hut-hut...

sorry mate, got carried away :)

looks good, dunt it? I wonder what the metal content will be, given their usual tendency to put metal slides on their CO2 pistols...?

Let's hope and pray for full metal. Then there'll be a nice competitor for the MP5K. Imagine, an airsoft SMG that isn't and MP5! I'm not sure people are ready for this. The shock might kill some people. :D

we can but hope ;)

its going to be soooooo nice not having to use the usual run-of-the-mill kit...

was actually contemplating an m4, of all things, not too long ago... thankfully KWC pulled me back from the edge!

have to say, I'm so happy the airsoft market seems to be exploding with variety at the mo, though I don't doubt m4s and mp5s will dominate the scene for a long time :(

and I was only the other day thinking to myself, "what I really need is something that looks a little retro...something that bodie and doyle might use in an episode of the Professionals, to complement the sheer exuberant brutality of a m870..." and lo! my prayers have been answered!

oh great gods of airsoft, I humbly offer up my thanks to you on this day...

in later series, they went a bit weird- bodie was carrying a revolver (a 4" python I believe, but don't hold me to that...) and Doyle had a p38...

and maruzen make one of them...yah, boo, sucks to berettas! just cos I'm now living in the states, doesn't mean I have to run around like I'm in blummin' Delta- I'm going for a 70's british plain clothes copper look!

hmm, a bullhorn might be good too- "this is the FAAACkin Sweeney, put the shooters daan and put your 'ands where I can see 'em, you ponce!"

wonder what reaction I'll get if I try that ;)

Blank looks I'd imagine. Follow it off with "Geddoff mah mahnaaah you slaaaahhhg" and see how that works.

Seriously though, I may have to get a pair of these if they're the usual KWC cheapness, although they won't be for CQB as they'll most likely shove out 400ish fps :(

yeah, I think I'll limit them to fibua/urban games, and use the shotty for room-clearing and scaring people witha bit of back up from the uzi if I have to shoot any sort of distance.

I'm hoping to get enough stateside players with a sense of humour to start running around like coppers from 70s shows (UK or US) just to give people like myself, not too keen on looking like soldiers, some other outlet for our airsofting needs- might be quite nice having a bunch of guys with dodgy sideburns and even dodgier suits taking out the regulars with their girly m4s and two ton of blackhawk gear...ahaha, like thats going to happen :)

Bodie vs Starsky vs Regan vs Hutch vs Doyle vs Carter

I can see it now. Lots of excessive rolling around.

and shouting, and swearing, and wigs falling into puddles, and sliding over car bonnets, and plenty of wild blasting without bothering to aim (who really wants to aim anyway? big girls blouses, thats who!), and lots of stuff like that- oh happy days!

no more hut-hut-huts for me, just plenty of "go, go, go"s and 70's wah-wah guitars all over the place :)

I always wanted John Thaw to put a bit of Regan into his portrayal of Morse.

Lewis: "Duh. I'm a thick sidekick. Yet again I've failed to understand the very basic plot of this episode."

Morse: "You SLAAG! Get off my F**KIN MANOR you toerag!"

And so on. A missed opportunity I feel.

would have been good if that was how he was before he'd had his mid-morning beer- suddenly he goes from effing and blinding to #slurp# "its a tragedy, lewis..." and so on and so forth :). Then, as soon as he has his first whiskey, re reverts back to regan: "you know lewis, there really is nothing quite as beautiful as a spot of racmaninov #slurp# "oo put this pollocks on?! #crash, as boot goes through hifi# get the motor, we've got some villians ta duff up!"
