ronburgundy__
Ok, When I first got my USPc, I had a tightbore barrel and I had no idea how to install it. I search for a few days on and off, and I finally found some info about it. Since then, I have explored the USPc alot, and I decided to write a guide for people who just got the gun, or people who never bothered to learn how to take it apart fully. Since I have like 25 or something pictures I can't put them right into the thread, so I will link to them from photobucket. To start off, you need a few tools. A small screwdriver, a set of metric allen wrenches, and a blade of some sort. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1449.jpg Start by pulling the slide back around 1/2 inch or so, until you are able to slide the magazine catch out. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1450.jpg Take out the magazine release, and pull the slide back all the way with your hand. Once it is back, slide it forward, don't let go. The slide should slide off the frame. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1453.jpg Take out the recoil spring by sliding it forward alittle bit, then lift it up. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1455.jpg Once the recoil spring is out, you have to take out the barrel. To take out the barrel, you do basically the same thing as the recoil spring, you side it forward, and take it out diagonally. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1457.jpg To take out the blowback unit, there is a size 2 allen bolt. Unscrew it. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1462.jpg If the front of the slide is facing forward, there is a small notch at the front of the blowback unit. You have to put the small screwdriver in there, and pry it out. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1467.jpg Once you have done that, you can take it out. Be careful, there are 2 small pieces on the back that might fall out. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1469.jpg Now for the inner barrel. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1472.jpg There is a small screw on the bottom of the barrel, twist it counter-clockwise. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1474.jpg Stick the blade between the screw and the barrel, and sort of pry it out. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1476.jpg Be careful, there is a small spring and other little piece there. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1477.jpg Now to get the inner barrel out, you have to take the smallest allen size you have and poke out the pin on the bottom of the bolt. If this is your first time doing it, it might take some force. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1479.jpg Now the barrel will come out. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1481.jpg You have to take all of the things off the barrel, starting with the U shaped piece. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1483.jpg This leaves 2 c-clips that must come off. I use my fingernails to get them off. One comes off easy. The other, you have to take off the plastic piece next to the metal hopup part. Then the c-clip will come off. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1484.jpg Slide the metal piece off. DO NOT LOSE THE LITTLE BALL. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1486.jpg Take the ball of, DO NOT LOSE IT. Slide off the rubber. You are done. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1490.jpg Just a tip for reassembly, the hopup rubber has to go on a special way. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a21/alexspanos/DSCN1492.jpg The notch at the bottom of the picture has to go into a spot on the barrel, just spin it around until it sort of clicks. To finish the reassembly, just work backwards. When putting the blowback unit back in, the screw has to go through a small hole in the small piece I was talking about. If you wanted to take the sights out, you can hit them out with a screwdriver with tape on the end to prevent scratching. I have a plastic slide, I am not sure how the blowback removal may differ with a metal slide, I can imagine there is no prying out because metal doesnt bend. I think that is everything. If I forgot anything, just tell me. Well, that concludes the guide. If you have any questions or problems, don't hesitate to PM me. I will try to help you as best i can. Edit: I also think this would work for the USP .45 too, but im not positive.

Hauk
Hi guys, sorry for necro-posting but I was working off rons guide for stripping the USPc. Anywho, here's my progress so far. I've got the blowback unit, the front sight, and the rear sight fitted into the Shooters Design slide. I've installed a new precision barrel. The hop up rubber and the black piece of metal that covers the hop rubber (and the little ball) went on fine and finally the U-clamps and the skinnier U-clamps went on fine. The only problem I'm having is getting the inner barrel assembly fitted correctly into the outer barrel assembly. I'm trying to connect the piece in the picture below into the outer barrel assembly(the second picture). But I'm not sure how it fits together. Any help is greatly appreciated!!! Hauk
I really don't mean to be a pest and bump this, but I'm really having trouble trying to put this back together, and don't want to break anything.... Again, apologies for bumpage.... Hauk
