Hey. Have hit a bit of trouble. Having decided to buy a new AEG i thought about the TM/Star SL9 prebuilt. Though, its pricey for what i get , which is basically a TM G36. So i decided maybe to wait till the CA SL9 is released. Problem is the VCRB - I have no idea when its coming, same as many people. So, I was hoping someone here knew a release date, or rough guess for when the CA SL9 would be released. Note - I dont think its actually called the SL9 though, but its supposed to be the SL9. If anyone has any information on this it would be greatley apreciated and a +1 will be awarded

I too would love to know if anyone has a release date - but I don't think CA has given one yet. I plan to pick one up as soon as they do - I just wish I knew when that will be...

there is none...I just came back from US airsoft expo, the SL-9 wasn't there, neither the SPR, on their catalog, it just say new model, no release date

I talked to the Spartan guys and they didn't have a date for it. It's annoying because I want one too and if I can get that over a G36 if it hurries up and comes out.

Hmm that obviously means it wont be ready for some time. Seeing as I only have 3 months(ish) to buy a gun, It probably wont be that then

given Classic Army's usual advert-release record you can expect to see this in the next 6-8 weeks !

the VCRB is very unlikely to be put into actual force untill next spring !
even if the bill gets passed the law will NOT change over night

Next spring is wishful thinking man, It will most likely come in in about october/november. Although it could come next spring, i highly doubt it will take that long, although we can always hope and pray.

well if it doesnt get passed by summer then September/Octotber will be the first chance after the summer break which means it is unlikely to make it law before spring as passing the bill alone will not make it law straight away

People are rather silly, no?

If the bill gets passed (after the summer break at the earliers) you usually have a gap of around 6 months before it is fully enforced. A rapid change would be too hard for police forces and businesses to cope with.

I've given up and I'm sick of oh, check our website, I'm set on getting a Marui with star's kit, the kit is solid and internals will be marui, so you can't fail. Forget CA, besides their trades suck anyway =P

I'm right there with you...I check Classic Army's site about four times a day to see if they have released either the CA8-2 (SL8-4...sorta) or the SAR TAKTIK Rifle (G3 SG-1) have been released yet. I guess the closest thing we have to a release date is this year since they are in this Year's catalog. I did the same thing with Star's we site waiting for them to release their SL9...I even emailed them but they never responded. They took too long though because by the time their's came out I got wind of the Classic Army release and would much rather wait for the CA and then slap an SL8 top rail on it. Star is releasing the top rails soon...or I could just buy an actual HK since they're so cheap. I emailed Classic Army about both of them hinting around that I was a large retailer, which of course I'm not, but they just forwarded me to Spartan. I never bothered contacting them since I figured they probably wouldn't know either. I just told my local retailer to hold both of them for me the second they come out and I would come right up to buy them. You guys will know when they come out because I will scream so loud people in China building them will hear it!
