I know the hidakaya version has been out of stock for a long time.
Looking at my g23 and g27 manuals I dont even see this part listed. What is its function?

I think it's the part that self destructs after use on propane, never happened to mine, so I don't know for sure.
Wait! We can't stop here, this is bat country!

It's the part that holds the internals in place inside the cylinder.
Some unfortunate few, uncluding myself, have experienced this part breaking in P226s and G26s, for me it was the P226, but it was caused by installing a metal RCC cylinder bulb, which apparently smashed up the part 17.
A stock TM part was available briefly, but it quickly sold out too. Hopefully, as this is a Guarder part, it'll stay in stock.
Until now, this part was the single greatest weakness of the TM guns - break this part, buy new gun. But no more!
