I realy hope that is just a prototype gearbox. The owner of Star told me it will have a metal gearbox.

Ya, that's kinda my thought too. Now as long as it's a SOLID METAL gearbox we'll be in buisseness.

I believe that is what was reported in the other thread on this topic.

Hmmm, if:
* metal gearbox
* mechanical 3-round burst
* TM/CA/ICS M16/AR15 compatible mags
* hard-shell case
* decent price

... that'll be a WINNER!

Now all we need is a Galil SAR and an HK33K (to rival KSC's) and an HK53....

Too bad you are a loser. :ICEBURN:

On topic: teh sechs. If this will be somewhat cheap (cheaper than L85), I'm going to buy it. After Mr. John Star makes the customer service better, he should put more money on the server. It's ssssslow.

Hmm I wonder how this will affect VFC's FNC planned for release next year, this STAR version looks like its already at an advanced stage of development...

I hope VFC releases its FNC soon after Star (or before it if we are lucky) so we get a nice low price... on the other hand we could get more weapons if there weren't two FNC's like there are two UMP's. Something tells me VFC will have a more compatible gearbox, but I wouldn't really have a problem with this one. It's all about which is better and I do count materials, the stamped steel receiver on this one sounds very good. Both manufacturers are my two top favorites atm.

Its always nice to have a choice - and competition between manufacturers is good too. It will help to improve the price and the quality.

Still - the FNC does seem like a bit of an oddball choice for two manufacturers to decide to build them.... I want to see Classic Army do something more with the CA33.

Theyll be YooTubed...just as soon as *I* can get them.

It sounds, and feels, like STAR's server is giving a huge raspberry to my 54Mbps DSL gateway... tongue.gif
