re KSC's a2... its nice, I suppose, but the CA33e is always going to be a better buy...

Well, the KSC is much more solidly built - and I suspect also closer to real steel size - but Classic Army can be upgraded much easier, and is more readily available. So I suppose you have a point.

There's a nice little Flash presentation of it on the KSC website. Looks like it comes with a bipod fitted as standard. No sign of an upgrade spring yet though...

its a shame CA haven't expanded their CA33e line-up- wouldn't mind if they'd just come out with a collapsible stock version, so a conversion to a 53 would be a piece of widdle.

and KSCs stuff is very nice, though I don't know much about the aftermarket side of things for them...

CAs stuff will always be a slightly better deal, despite things like the strength issues, simply because they're compatible with anything internally that a v2 gearbox needs, and are going to be cheaper and more readily available.

Shame, cos I prefer the look of the mp5-style stock over the 33e...

Indeed.

Having tried unsuccessfully to get my KSC HK33K upgraded, I have to agree with you there.

I also want to see the 30 or 40 round style magazines besides these short 25 rounders.

Oh yeah, the KSC AEG thingy. Wasn't it the one that broke real quick, and no spare parts (kinda like their GBBs, except you can at least get parts)? Greeat.

yeah, that is unfortunately my reaction too, Utty- looks fantastic, but without replacement parts readily available, I'm not touching it with a barge pole, even if they get the internals to TM standards.

what was the hop unit like for their AEG?
Is it the same as their GBBs? Or something different?

Is it still the same operation where if you ran out of battery it turns into a spring cocking gun?

Well, mine has always functioned fine. I think there must have just been one bad batch or something. Other manufacturers have had similar kinds of quality control problems too.

Yes, you can use this rifle in single shot "real trigger" mode or in full AEG mode. You can also use it as a manually cocked springer if your battery is disconnected or dead.

My only gripe with it is that there aren't any upgrade springs available for it yet.

That's no excuse.

Or anything else, for that matter.

Oh yeah.....I think you all found a gun that nukes itself faster than the TOP MP40.

My KSC 33 is on the short list of worst guns I have ever owned. My gun munched its cheap "TOP-like" gearset in the first 15 mins (And yes, I read the manual first).

Didnt matter.....as I found out after 2 more rebuilds. The design and gearbox material used is junk, beyond junk. And getting the replacment gears was tough, only Den had them. (then went out of stock almost immediately).

I sold it. For a loss.

What a lesson - I refuse to venture too far beyond the standard V2 or V3 gearboxes anymore.
