Personally I lost all respect for the PTW.
Buddy dropped it not even a 1/2 a foot. Light drop, nothing more then what I do 2 my G&P daily. And it snapped like it was made out of plastic. Cheap bodies atleast.
lol, it's a good gun, but frankly it's meant as a LE/MIL training weapon. It's internally WAY more durable than a normal AEG, but externally? Well it's not the best for strength. I've seen way more PTWs break than normal guns.
I love my Gen 3 and MAX, but I acknowledge that it's not perfect as a platform, I love the guns, but they are training guns, and as such not meant for hardcore skirmish. The community as a whole needs to not equate super expensive guns with super durable/high performance guns. Frankly I love my Systemas, and want to get an MP5 if/when they ever make it. But the gun was NOT developed for the skirmish market, it was made for the LE/MIL market, the IRONY of that is is that the LE/MIL market has for the most part been impartial (or outright rejected the PTW) as an alternative to other training methods.
Ah well, as I said the honeymoon is over for me on this gun.
