China: Replica of M14
Chinese copy of Marui M14 was rumored for sometime now. Pictures of cheap spring operated version already surfaced, however this seems to be exact copy of Marui AEG. However, no official confirmation is available at this time. Click to supersize, source is 028qiang.com.

The company thats supposed to come out with it is SRC. So far, they've released full metal M4s and AKs, but nobodys seen the RPK they've been advertising for a while now.

SRC is not Chinese. This is supposed to be like CYMA or something close.
The RPK has been out for a few days at GnG... For $285 too.

Bad news... cheap M14's means there will be alot of young kids calling themselves ubar 1337 h4x0rs because they own an M14. Then they'll get their cheap gear and make a Shughart look alike and make being an M14'eer worthless.... Does look like its Marui Mag compatable.

because they in theory should be a lot cheaper, its a lot easier to get and therefore think about achieving that 'look'.

Which isnt a bad thing.

Not everyone has a bottomless pit of a wallet ready to whip out. I paid for my G Spec and I am happy with it. I dont rinse sniper's who use a USR because they paid less than me, or think I am better than them because my gun cost more.

This ###### attitude of saying that people with less money, who buy cheaper copies of major brands, will have some leet kiddie mentality is getting boring. Sure, no doubt a few will be like it but the price doesnt dictate the way they act or are. There are always idiots in this world regardeless of how much they paid for an airsoft gun

I'd possibly consider one if its any good purely because i like the M14 but dont currently have the cash lying about to fork out full whack for a TM or G&G version. If its an exact copy and function & performance match the other offerings out there, all the better for another option to us consumers.

i wasnt being mean about it. i was just pointing out what happened last time when the m14's came out.
all 3 production versions seemed to spark that interest, with numerous threads to go with them.

i'm as broke as anyone else, and have plenty of the cheaper brands in my collection.

i'm personally tempted in these as well, especially if they turn out to be as good as tm in terms of known reliability and performance.

over the years the sheer number of cheaper of copies and clones, and all of them cheaper, and sometimes equal to the originals in terms of quality and performance, has driven the price down in the airsoft market, which is a good thing for everyone.

To allay some fears and theories:

There are TWO Chinese M14s coming out soon.

1) The Double Eagle SPRING m14 - this has a rail set and is faux-wood.
2) The CYMA AEG M14 - this is a copy of te TM AEG M14 and is in both OD and faux wood - although OD comes first.

DE Springer sould be about $40USD, and it'll come out first.

Anything else you need - post it here and I'll see what I can find.

If I can stick something on it to make it look like the shortened M14... the one that GnG makes, I'm all for it.

really though, you know, I actually don't mind it when "kids" ((though, really, it's people in general)) want to emulate real soldiers. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, so I'll take the compliment ((Army)).

Besides that, they're doing a couple of things. the first is that they're starting down the line of milsim, or at least milsim gear.. and while I've no problem with the guy in hunting camo and a beeny, my experiance is made better by the guy out there in the K-pot and the load bearing vest, or whatever his or her choice of equipmant is.. I like seeing this on the field.

but, also, in the case of this black hawk down emulation, they are emulating a real american hero who, along with his battle buddy, gave his life to save just one guy. That kids see this and want to be like it.. be it "Uber 1337", which, yeah, the real guy was, rangers tend to be like that.. or because they recognize what the guy did, and want to be like that.. well, damn, then how can you fault that. and if they can do it for a hundred bucks cheaper, then hell yeah.

pluss, if they really do think they're 1337, then it only takes a few games 'til they realize they either learn the skills, or just have fun reguardless of getting wupped on.. and sinse this is a cheapo, they might decide that they need to learn how to upgrade the gearbox.. and hey, then they're educating themselves to bring themselves up in airsoft status (( even a little bit if they pay for it..))

On top of all this. I'm more anoyed by the kids who are rich, buy the TM M14, upgrade it to total over powerdness, but pay for it to be done, rather than doing it themselves.. buy all the gear, and do it all on one alowance.. all before their first game. at least the "poor" kids pick it up and learn as they go.

ah, ######, i'm on a roll here.. last time I drink caffine at the end of the work day.. allright, that's my long post of the week..
