WA SCW 2 and 3 compatibility questions!

does anybody know if SCW2 aftermarket metal frames and slides fit SCW 3 Western Arms 1911's? I have a SCW3 1911 and I want to convert it to a SIG GSR 1911 or Early Model MEU, but the only kits I could find were PRIME's and PGC's which say SCW2.

Yes, you can

 

I have fitted an SCW3 Kimber Warrior to an SCW2 PGC Springfield Operator kit, you *may* however need a teensy modification (above the normal fitting) to the lower disconnector or frame, to allow the disconnector to rise to sufficient height during cycling (I modified the frame on mine). I am ultra fussy though and want things to be in exactly the right place!

 

Don't forget the obvious stuff like having sights that are compatible etc
