I'd hazard a guess that it's just a rebranded Double Eagle one, looks identical, and quite convenient that they're both released at roughly the same time.

Mid september has been and gone aswell lol so i guess these are out now?

Looks different from the one at Gunner Airsoft (I compared the pictures, as that's what I first thought too)

Look at the stock.

The materials look less cheap too, but that might just be the pictures.
Though, look at the split seam underneath the stock...

It's the one from SRC it's sure, pics were posted on airsoft news website.

Star Rainbow Company is SRC. I'm eager to see it come out and buy it!

Looks like you might be right, has the calibre stamped on the body and the take down pins are different on this. I wonder if it has a proper scope/sight on it?

lol @ the big ugly split stock though, im surprised they never noticed that when taking the photos!

I was actually planning to buy the one from gunner-airsoft for that very purpose, with the Level-3 upgrade.
But now I'm not sure anymore.

Interesting, I was thinking about one of the BE ones and upgrading for a GRAW style loadout but was looking at probably going with the SCAR when it comes out.

Look forward to seeing more info on this, especially when it comes to durability, an actual scope (hopes red dot) and compatability to TM parts

Im gonna go ahead and say that is not a re-branded gun. It looks like SRC original. Look at the hex screws on the ends of the take down pins, BE and DE don't have those. There is also somke kinda hex bolt on the scope, and mayben even a windage adjust on the side of the receiver, so maybe it is functional!
Also, the BE, and DE have a little hatch on the bottom of the forearm to put the batt in, and that is not present in these pictures. The flash hider looks quite metallic also.

The carry handle has a cutaway hole in it. Maybe you can put flip-up emergency sights on it, or it'll come with it?

The stock is different as well.

I am reall excited about this. My concerns are how durable the body turns out to be, the sights, internals, and the realism.

Looks great so far, whoever gets one first needs to pop up a review fast.

I'd prefer the 2nd generation version of the XM8 though, but I guess maybe I could mod it a bit.

It's about time an XM8 came out that actually looks good. The new BE (or whoever makes the new ones) looked better than the old, which i just cannot get over how ugly that tan was, but this looks even better than that. I got something else on my christmas list.

I cannot tell about the quality of the build material. It may be just as cheap as a BE as far as I far as I can tell in a photo OR it could be as solid as a CA 36. Dunno.

It does not speak well of it though that the color is wearing/chipping off the grip similar to the way the BE loses its paint in the same area/way.

However, it APPEARS that the front grip has a pushpin similar to a G36 for battery placement in the foregrip. It also APPEARS that the site has a functional windage adjustment knob. This would strongly hint at a red dot site, perhaps on the quality level of a TM P90 RDS (Recently reintroduced to its fans new and old!).

Will be worth keeping an eye out for its release. However, I wonder if this thing is going to bump the $250 USD mark.

Hopefully it stays at around $200, but their m4's are reaching for the sky when it comes to prices so you never know. Thier rpk is at $270, so it should stay down.

SRC just might join the big 3.

Maybe, but SRC needs to get better QC first.
WTB:
Marushin (Or ACM) Winchester Lever actions, M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, .44 Automag
MGC Ruger 10/22 Sporter/Panther or Armalites
Or any interesting NBB / Gas guns

PM me if you've got anything, I am located in the US btw :)

From what I have seen they are getting better. How long have they been in business anyways? Maybe they will be the next CA. Junk at first then turning into a highly respected brand. wink.gif
