With the CA set long out of production, and the G&G running on $300 (no KAC trades either), this is long overdue. If I can scrap up a SR-15 M5 upper, I'll throw this on and finally have my SR-15 M5.

Let me rephrase.
It's about time an affordable and realistic M5 RAS was released.

you also might want to notice that this one (new one on the SPR's) are designed to be taller so they line up with the CA recievers which if i recall correctly are about 1mm or so taller than others. The older and out of production model was the correct hieght as it was completely flush with some GP and Systema bodies ive installed on other weapons.

Either way, I face a difficult decision. SR-16 M5, or VFC HK416.

Wrong again. The CA SPR to be released will use the old style M5 RAS - there is about 1-2mm difference between it and the body's rail.

1) The CA M5 has stopped being produced as a stand alone product, but will be used on the SPR/M16a4 model due out.
2) I have no *fruitcage* idea what is going on.
I assume #1 is correct, but #2 is a distinct possibility.

They still sell the M5 RAS as a standalone product.

I am sad, those padded white rooms don't have any windows.
