All the info we have is there. I'm hoping for gas in the mag as that would make more sense.

no it wouldnt.

you get to chose between buying tons of $50 mags and be stuck with a GBB gun that doesnt fire very well, or buying tons of $10-20 mags, and boring out the stock or setting it up for external c02 and make it into a monster. you can also extend the mags, make drums, whatever, if you arent limited by a mag power source.

go go monster!!!!

Yeah, the 15 round capacity confuses me- they have made an excellent replica of the 30 rd 'banana' magazine, why not have it hold 15 more 8mm cannonballs?

I think if you go back to the pictures Sanken has on the M2 announcement, you can see from the parts that like the current M1 Carbine the gas will be in the mag-

http://www.mojji.com/en/pick-up/05hobby-marushin.htm

I'm holding out for a mis-print on the 15 rd capacity in the mag, that really makes more sense than just making a larger mag with the same bb capacity to me.

I also think it's interesting that they made a 6mm version of the 210-

Bah there goes the hope of this gun being comparable to the m1 sad.gif

the ammo/mag is either a misprint, or its more likely limited on purpose as the gun had no chance of firing 20-30 rounds per fill, the mags arent overly large, and a 8mm barrel vents alot more gas than a 6mm.

Could very well be true-

But I will be throwing a M1A1 Folding Paratroop stock on mine and removing the bayonette lug from the barrel and retro-fitting a rear flip-sight on it as soon as it arrives and enjoying the hell outta my new truly semi-auto M1 Carbine with Blow-Back goodness!!

"LD-2" could it be "Long Distance 2" - A revised hop system?

Just a guess.

Cheers.

Still i'd like the gas in the mags. It's just peace of mind - knowing that when you reload a magazine, you're getting a new - full - gas supply as well.

yeah, but you still run into the limiting factors

-the gun has to be tuned, and each magazine has to be tuned, if the stock mags are inadequite, you need to buy upgrade parts for each one, if you wanted to use the gun as a main-arm like me, you probably dont want to have to dump the rifles cost, and a half again in just magazines so its useable.

In pistols and to a lesser extent SMG's, gas-mags are logical because a normal person is only going to be fielding two or three mags tops. in a rifle, your looking at five to ten minimium, maybe more if the person fires alot. thats an aweful lot of valves, o rings, and such to go wrong.

I was hoping for a garand without all the over complicated clip ejecty bits, I'm just a little dissapointed, im sure 15 round capacity and gasmags is better for other people sad.gif

Ah we're looking for different things in a gas rifle then. This is the kind of thing i'd buy for the novelty factor - a modern GBB rifle.

Oh I wish it were 6mm... but the fact that It's a TRUE semi-auto is extremely appealing. I'd buy it for the right price, but probly never put it in auto.\

Im with you, guinness, M1A1 carbine stock is defiantely the way to go.

Have you used the current 8mm M1 Carbine? That is one in the picture, I have owned both the earlier 6mm and the 8mm M1's and I have to say the 8mm is superior.

The 8mm is all metal where the 6mm was mostly plastic, They both work fine with greengas, but that 8mm cannonball coming at you at around 450fps is quite intimidating ohmy.gif

I expect this M2 will basically be the replacement for the aging M1 Carbine- As long as the semi-auto works well, and they have had the Garand to work out the mechanical issues, then who will want to go back to the old 'pull-and-shoot' mech on the M1 Carbine? Not me!
