While I question the virtue of scooping other Airsoftinista News sites for intel, I couldn't resist the temptation........ blush.gif

the referring article on Airsoft-News EU:

This will be a 1911 'clone' .45- The 'real-steel' is made in Brazil (i.e. Taurus) by the manufacturer "Imbel" http://www.imbel.gov.br/ and is a replica of a weapon from the popular Japanese Anime series "Black Lagoon".

I know many of us say "Ho-hum, yet another GM version...... Zzz.gif

But perhaps the popularity of this replica will spur other 1911 'sisters' such as the Radom, which would be welcomed by many I think. Hey I know.....how about a Norinco! wink.gif

er um..... dry.gif

See, this is what's great about a public news forum- everybody has equal opportunity to post what they and others might deem interesting and news-worthy. And those that don't find it interesting can choose not to read it.

Perhaps you thought the topic title "KSC 1911 Clone" meant "New DarkHawk EBB with authentic trademarks!" ? happy.gif

Maybe they'll fix the problem with their M1911A1 where the entire front-end of the gun shoots off if you forget to check that the bit that holds it on hasn't come unseated tongue.gif

On mine it is an issue when using practically anything, the retaining thingeys that hold the bushing in are so poor. I'm steering clear of this one...

Not so much broken, as poorly constructed initially. It is very shallow, and I think the design of the thing (more accurate to the original than the WA [don't know about the TM]) meant that the path of least resistance eventually became for the metal bushing to wear the edge of the groove away and fly out of the gun.

We'll just have to wait and see if they've rectified this problem in the new one though.

I posted this news awhile ago in a different forum topic, however just to add to this, KSC will also be releasing the M92 Sword Cutlass model from Black Lagoon used by 'Revy' in the anime.

Apparently it is used by one of the main characters in Japanese cartoon called "Black Lagoon."

cartoon noun a film made by photographing a series of drawings, each showing the subjects in a slightly altered position, giving the impression of movement when the film is run at normal speed.

Anime is a cartoon in other words.

In technicality, yes. But it is a more mature and detailed form of "cartoon".

The term "cartoon" refers to comedic kids' shows.

Yes, because "When the Wind Blows" is a comedic kid's show.

That would be called an animation.

Cartoon=kid's junk, usually poorly drawn animation
Animation=not neccessarily kid's stuff, but still poorly drawn, or "American rip-off anime"

Anime=PG13+ and well drawn animation

Anime>Animation>Cartoon

Yes they are technically all cartoons/animations, but when you say "cartoon", the first thing that comes to mind is "kid's shows".

Well the word ANIME is a Japanese slang for Animation or a short for that word. Us Japanese people would pronounce it as "Animeeshon" and thus the word is cut down to "Anime". Then again the term Anime helps distinguish between the art style of the animation society of that of the western culture and eastern culture. I can talk more about this, but I'll keep it short.

It's like how you some people say Survival Game, but to us, we refer it as "Sabage" in Japan.

I thought it was サーバイーブールケーム.

I thought the term アニメ came from the French word?
