Old news. They've had those prices as long as I've been into airsoft. These aren't even the '06 versions so Elite are just trying to shift excess stock.

They're still ICS and better value than most AEGs, for instance compared to TM's range of Mp5's
For someone trying to get into airsoft or just wants an Mp5, it would make more sense to spend £125 rather than £200 for pretty much the same gun

Even more brilliant is that using Zero One's price promise you can get a 2006 version for the same price.

surely the Zero1 price promise wont work, because they sell the 2006 version compared to Elites <2005 version, so they'll argue its not the 'same' gun?

Well I just found out that Z1 has the new ICS packaging with 2 highcaps so I might get another anyway.

Ive sent off the form anyway, no harm in trying.

Its a shame the only £125 one is an SD, but ive sent it off for an A4 one, which will still save me £25 if it works, and get a pre upgraded one with the two hicaps like you said.

Tried the Z1 price promise before buying from elite, normal banter of not same motor, gears etc, sorry but an extra 60 quid is not worth those parts these are the late '05 models just before they changed them for the newer versions Z1 now sell.

If you've got the spare money and like the MP5 SD's, buy one you can't go wrong with it.

I think he is saying that at £125 if you want an SD then the price on elite is very good.

Personally I would buy anything other than the '06 for the prices on elite. Maybe £125 is a good deal but considering you have to replace the wiring, gears, bushings, motor and hop just to get it to the same level as the '06 it still isn't worth it.

The point is though your saving like £70 or something for virtually the same gun. Its not exactly compulsary to upgrade the bushings and gears etc when you first get it.

I've got one of these from Elite (bought long before they went with the £125 offer) and I'd recommend it to anyone - Why would you pay £70 extra for some minor upgrades.

It might NOT be exactly the same, but it's not like there's anything wrong with the pre-2006 model - It's still better than a TM for less money!

Cheers.

I got the reply to the price promise today, and, as expected, it didn't work.........

.....suprisingly however, they did give me a reference code to get the gun with the new packaging, two hi caps etc for £170, which is a very good deal, and jolly nice of Zero1 smile.gif

i dont think ill be using it as i have my eye on something else, but for anybody else reading, you can save £15 off an already good deal by sending the price promise to Zero1.
