Wow....Something wrong....and I don't know why...
Let me post again:

Our group owns couple compines. One of them are doing Camera stabilizer. A very high end product for film industry.

Couple weeks ago, we have an idea: put machine gun onto our stabilizer and we made a prototype. (photo showed below...)

Now, we have to figure out how to lower down the price....

pretty limited market, what with guns big enough to warrant sucha device costing most of your internal organs, but looks scary as hell! tongue.gif

two airsoft shops (steelhawk ( I believe) and replisoft) built the Alien's rifle prop airsoft gun. . using the steady cam-type mounts. .tjey brought the gun/mount out at the US Airsoft Expo 2005.

Yep....we know the market is very limited...
We did this for fun....and we gonna test with the real Machine Gun late on...
I mean, if we can "stabilize" the recoil power from real machine gun, it will be a good selling point.

If you can lower the price, I can think of a bunch of people who'd be interested - the UK and US colonial marine re-enactors, for one.

Could be used as a gun mount for say someone who has weak arm muscles as a disease/illness. Sorry for my ignorance I dont know what the specific disability is called.

Any big gun aka m60 mk249 users would find this useful. especially those who own full metal versions also it makes big support weapons useful in urban pacification easyer

Nothing new. It's a Steady Cam mount. It's exactly they way they made the guns in "Aliens".

Simon, I would REALY suggest you rethink mounting a real m123 on that. Unless you build in some sort of hydrolic buffer that you would engage once you get the weapon in position I forsee somone getting hurt. Not to mention the INSANE amount of weight!

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but those Steady Cam mounts have to be built specificly for the owner/user, right?

If you specifically want to portray a part in Aliens fair enough as you'll have the interest and bravado to strap it on.
Seriously, after ten minutes, everybody else will be so f#cked off carrying all that dead weight you'll just dump it and use the gun as it was designed. Funny that.

Always standing stock upright in a perfect test range stance? In airsoft and the military I think you'll find most people are scrattin' around in the mud, crawling through trees and brambles so where does all that mechanics go, apart from in your kidneys?
Ridiculous.

I can't seem to find the price of the stabilizers either in this thread, or on the linked website. Madbull, can you PM me the cost for the XTR 600 Stabilizer & XTR 700 Stabilizer? I'm curious how much these would hurt the wallet.

Thanks!
