Lance Jackass
I have it on good authority that King Arms will be producing an L1A1 kit for the FAL so I'm getting one of those as soon as they hit these shores. Off another forum. I'll ask more to the original poster, but has anyone else heard talk on the grapevine of an L1A1? Would be VERY logical. cheers, LJ
ianhaz
Oh man...falklands loadout...druel
Rec
As long as it has the modern handguard and not that ugly slim one... this is going to be good. Folding stock, maybe?
Lance Jackass
Please make it just a bog standard L1A1 - British type.... Wood or plastic furniture with solid stock, with the ability to mount a SUIT. That would make my Xmas, just knowing that they exist.
Kousnik
Hell yes, if this is true then I have cash to burn! More info (if anyone has it) on this would be appreciated!
hhsohn
Semi only?
Rec
Full auto battle rifle... what kind of taste is that anyway?
i~mack
the SLR was put to semi only so yes, only to keep within the authenticity and realism ... maybe those little cap-gun caps there so you get a bit of a 'POP'
seawulfhornblower
Please make it just a bog standard L1A1 - British type.... Wood or plastic furniture with solid stock, with the ability to mount a SUIT. That would make my Xmas, just knowing that they exist. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Same here...waiting for a decent L1 A1 since ages.... Anyway I ever understood why KA´s (1st?) FAL became the austrian version (...and not a L1 A1 or Belgium classic FAL...)most likely the smallest number of FAL Versions ever made.
Lance Jackass
My bet is that they'll keep the full auto to clear gearbox lock ups. Anyway, it's all speculation on hearsay. I'll see what the guy says in PMs, but he sounds confident
Jack Bauer
Well, some jiggery pokery to help it keep semi-only would be nice but I suppose we'd just need to keep the selector on Semi unless we really had to...
Lance Jackass
If the selector did both semi and fully but only had semi markings that'd be enough for me...
mdb
Will this be a new gun or a conversion as it says kit?
D10
What version gearbox does this have? Because if its version 2, I smell a madbull m470 for one of these baby's...
Hustie
Its version 3.
king_P90
Finally someone is going to make an SLR, unfortunately this means I'm going to have to sell a kidney to buy it. Oh well, I can finally use my '58 pattern webbing to do a proper falklands loadout.
amateurstuntman
I'm sure shootnscoot do an SLR, warren uses a lot of real steel components too. I guess it is the mass produced factor that is news here. I handled a s'n's early prototype for the SLR and I loved the length, I have just struck a deal for a 2nd hand G3A3 to curb that itch and now they go and do this. I know of two people who have been saying "if only the FAL was an SLR I'd be all over it like a tramp on hot chips" and now look. As for the 470 idea, they just have to make a V3 version. It will happen, AUG AK Sig UMP etc etc. The V3 box is in more top guns than you can shake a stick at. Or if your name is BP Esso McShell and you have all the money in the world simply get SniperX to make you a custom esceort powered one or track down an old JAC one. Either way, you'll still look cool in your puttees and tin hat. Stunt
Lance Jackass
Hi Ian, I was told by the guys at AA in cannock so a pretty reliable source. ETA is probably going to be beginning of next year. Well thats as much as i can find.
Misfit
Semi only? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You could always do the matchstick mod...
Duke Togo
The JAC one is functionally good but it's very plasticy and fragile. I had an AS4L LRB put into mine and it shoots a good 80 meters. Mags are 25-30 rounds only too. It was the SLR though. I'd advise to get uber-cheap real steel SLR furniture for the AEG instead. You may want to hit up SniperX for that Escort one, they may just sell the one they made for $2k or so.
Spudgun
I suspect that it'll be a conversion kit (I hope so). That'll mean I can spread the cost a little. I used the SLR while I was in the Army and it was a pleasure to shoot. It'll be nice to have an AEG version.
Angry
Real steel grips here for $92 http://estore.websitepros.com/832529/Detail.bok?no=
GuzziHero
You could always do the matchstick mod... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was going to say, will the kit include a mock matchstick to make the full auto conversion? True authenticity would include a tape of an armourer ripping the owner a new one on the odd occasion they forgot to remove it before inspection...
Jackaloop
Didn't you guys hear? The Madbull 470 project was canceled...too many problems and delays.
king_P90
Didn't you guys hear? The Madbull 470 project was canceled...too many problems and delays. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They've actually cancelled it now? Last I heard they were going to stop making the gearbox on its own and make an entire gun instead. I can never get an answer from madbull regarding the 470. edit: having done a quick search, madbull are starting a qualified dealership scheme to help end users install the m470.
